Installation of the T12 Sensor
WARNING:
BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU DO WORK ON THE ENGINE PARTS AFTER THE ENGINE SHUTDOWN. USE APPLICABLE THERMAL GLOVES. THE ENGINE PARTS CAN STAY HOT FOR ONE HOUR AFTER SHUTDOWN AND CAN BURN YOU.

A. Safety Precautions
(1) On the center pedestal, on ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Make sure that the ENG/MODE selector switch is in the NORM position.
(b) Make sure that the ENG/MASTER 1(2) control switch was in the OFF position not less than five minutes before you do this procedure.
(c) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) are in position to tell persons not to operate:
(a) Make sure that the ON legend of the FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
(b) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to energize FADEC 1(2).
Subtask 73-21-15-010-052-A (1) On the center pedestal, on ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Make sure that the ENG/MODE selector switch is in the NORM position.

B. Get Access
(1) Make sure that the fan cowl doors are open (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-803):

(2) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) is in position.
4. Procedure(1) Make sure that the fan cowl doors are open (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-803):

(2) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) is in position.
Subtask 73-21-15-420-050-A
A. Installation of the T12 sensor (1):
(2) Make sure that the mating surfaces are clean and clear of unwanted materials.
(3) Lubricate the threads of the four bolts (9) and the four nuts (11) with the engine oil (Material No.CP2442) .
(4) Install the T12 sensor (1) in the correct position on the mounting bracket (12) of the inlet case (3).
(5) Install the four nuts (11) to attach the T12 sensor (1) on the mounting bracket (12) and tighten by hand.
(6) Install the four washers (10) and the four bolts (9) to attach the T12 sensor (1) to the rear inlet bulkhead (4) and tighten them with your hand.
(7) TORQUE the four bolts (9) to between 65.1 and 58.9 lbf.in (0.74 and 0.67 m.daN )

(8) TORQUE the four nuts (11) to between 74.55 and 67.45 lbf.in (0.84 and 0.76 m.daN )

(9) Connection of the harness electrical connectors to the T12 sensor (1):
(b) Connect the HJ6A harness electrical connector (5) to the HJ6A harness receptacle (6).
(10) Install the T12 sensor access panel (2) (Ref. AMM TASK 71-60-42-400-801).
Subtask 73-21-15-710-051-A 5. Close-upWARNING:
USE PERSONAL PROTECTION EQUIPMENT. USE THE ENGINE OIL IN A WELL-VENTILATED AREA. ENGINE OIL IS TOXIC.
(1) Remove the COVER - PROTECTION and CAP - PROTECTION from the openings, tubes, hoses and connectors. (2) Make sure that the mating surfaces are clean and clear of unwanted materials.
(3) Lubricate the threads of the four bolts (9) and the four nuts (11) with the engine oil (Material No.CP2442) .
(4) Install the T12 sensor (1) in the correct position on the mounting bracket (12) of the inlet case (3).
(5) Install the four nuts (11) to attach the T12 sensor (1) on the mounting bracket (12) and tighten by hand.
(6) Install the four washers (10) and the four bolts (9) to attach the T12 sensor (1) to the rear inlet bulkhead (4) and tighten them with your hand.
(7) TORQUE the four bolts (9) to between 65.1 and 58.9 lbf.in (0.74 and 0.67 m.daN )
. (8) TORQUE the four nuts (11) to between 74.55 and 67.45 lbf.in (0.84 and 0.76 m.daN )
. (9) Connection of the harness electrical connectors to the T12 sensor (1):
CAUTION:
MAKE SURE THAT THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS ARE CLEAN BEFORE YOU DISCONNECT OR CONNECT THEM. CONTAMINATION ON THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
CAUTION:
USE PLIERS THAT HAVE TEFLON JAWS TO TIGHTEN OR LOOSEN THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS. DO NOT USE PLIERS THAT HAVE METAL JAWS. METAL JAWS CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS.
(a) Connect the HJ6B harness electrical connector (7) to the HJ6B harness receptacle (8). (b) Connect the HJ6A harness electrical connector (5) to the HJ6A harness receptacle (6).
(10) Install the T12 sensor access panel (2) (Ref. AMM TASK 71-60-42-400-801).

A. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Close the fan cowl doors (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-410-803):
