3. Job Set-up
Subtask 73-11-70-860-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU, make sure that a WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to start the engine.
   (2) On the overhead maintenance panel 50VU, make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off. Make sure that a WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to energize the FADEC 1(2).

B. Get Access
   (1) Make sure that the fan cowl doors are open: (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-040)
     (a) FOR [1000EM1] (ENGINE-1)

   (2) Make sure that the thrust reverser doors are open: (Ref. AMM TASK 78-36-00-010-040)

C. Make sure that the thrust reverser is unserviceable (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-481-041).
4. Procedure
Subtask 73-11-70-420-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Install the Burner Staging Valve as follows:
   (1) Do an inspection of the AIPC 73-11-70-01-050 GASKET (20) (Ref. AMM TASK 70-21-00-918-001).
   (2) Remove the protective covers from the BSV (70) and the fuel supply manifold.
   (3) Install the gasket (20) between the BSV (70) and the fuel supply manifold.
   (4) Install the BSV (70) on the fuel supply manifold.

B. Lubricate the bolts (10, 40) with graphite grease (Material No.CP2101) .

C. Attach BSV, as follows:

PRE SB 73-121

   (1) Install the bolts (10) with the heads up.
   (2) Install the nuts (30) to the bolts (10).
   (3) Install the bolts (40) with the heads down.
   (4) Install the nuts (80) to the bolts (40).
   (5) TORQUE the nuts (30, 80) to between 70 and 55 lbf.in (0.79 and 0.62 m.daN ) T.
   (6) Remove the protective caps from the electrical connectors.

POST SB 73-121

   (7) Install the bolt (10) and bolt (40) in the aft end of BSV.
   (8) Install the nut (30) to the bolt (10).
   (9) Install the nut (80) to the bolt (40).
   (10) Install the bolt (10) and bolt (40) in the fuel support bracket.
   (11) TORQUE the nuts (30, 80) to between 70 and 55 lbf.in (0.79 and 0.62 m.daN ) T.
   (12) TORQUE bolts (10, 40) to between 70 and 55 lbf.in (0.79 and 0.62 m.daN )
T.
   (13) Remove the protective caps from the electrical connectors.

D. Connect the electrical connectors, Channel A (50) and Channel B (60), to the BSV (70). Tighten the connectors by hand plus one eight of a turn.
NOTE: If necessary, use PLIERS - JAWED, SOFT.

F. Make the thrust reverser serviceable (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-081-041)

G. Do the test:
   (1) Do a FADEC ground test (Ref. AMM TASK 73-29-00-710-040).
NOTE: As an alternative procedure, you can do this operational test without the CFDS (Ref. AMM TASK 73-29-00-710-040).
   (2) Do a minimum idle check (Ref. AMM TASK 71-00-00-710-006).

G. Do a minimum idle check (Ref. AMM TASK 71-00-00-710-006) and make sure that on the CFDS no fault is shown related to the BSV.
5. Close-up

A. Close Access
   (1) Close the fan cowl doors (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-410-040):
