Subtask 73-11-50-860-051-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU, make sure that a WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to start the engine.
(2) On the overhead maintenance panel 50VU, make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off. Make sure that a WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to energize the FADEC 1(2).
Subtask 73-11-50-865-056-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU, make sure that a WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to start the engine.

A. Installation of the Fuel Return Valve
(2) Install the fuel return valve in position on the bracket (20), on the fan frame between flanges E and F, at the 10 o'clock position.
(a) Lubricate the threads of the bolts (100) with graphite grease (Material No.CP2101) .
(b) Attach the fuel return valve to the bracket (20) with the bolts (100) and the washers (110).

(3) Lubricate the threads of the nipples with fuel, and connect the tubes and the hoses that follow:
(a) Shutoff signal (PB/PSF) fuel tube (30)
(b) Fuel pump HP tube (40)
(c) IDG cooler tube (50)
(d) Fuel pump LP tube (60)
(e) Drain tube (90)
(f) Fuel return tube (10).
(g) Install the coupling nuts as follows:

2 TORQUE the drain tube (90) coupling nut to between 315 and 300 lbf.in (3.56 and 3.39 m.daN )

3 TORQUE the fuel return tube (10) coupling nut to between 1050 and 1000 lbf.in (11.87 and 11.30 m.daN )
.
4 TORQUE the IDG cooler tube (50) and the Fuel pump LP tube (60) coupling nuts to between 550 and 450 lbf.in (6.22 and 5.09 m.daN )

(4) Lubricate the threads of the nipples with fuel, and connect the tubes and hoses that follow:
(a) Fuel pump HP tube (40)
(b) Fuel pump LP tube (60)
(c) Bypass (PB/PSF) fuel tube (30) on the fuel return valve and on the fuel pump LP tube (60).
(d) IDG cooler tube (50)
(e) Drain tube (90)
(f) Fuel return tube (10).
(g) Install the coupling nuts as follows:

2 TORQUE the drain tube (90) coupling nut to between 315 and 300 lbf.in (3.56 and 3.39 m.daN )

3 TORQUE the fuel return tube (10) coupling nut to between 1050 and 1000 lbf.in (11.87 and 11.30 m.daN )

4 TORQUE the IDG cooler tube (50) and the Fuel pump LP tube (60) coupling nuts to between 550 and 450 lbf.in (6.22 and 5.09 m.daN )

(5) TORQUE the bolts (100) to between 110 and 100 lbf.in (1.24 and 1.13 m.daN )

(6) Make sure that the connectors and the receptacles are clean and clear of unwanted materials.
(7) Connect HJ7 harness connectors (70) and HJ8 harness connector (80) to the FRV receptacle. Use the PLIERS - CONNECTOR, JAW, SOFT only if necessary.
(8) Make sure that the connectors are fully engaged and do not move.
Subtask 73-11-50-865-054-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL CAUTION:
TAKE CARE DURING FUEL RETURN VALVE INSTALLATION NOT TO DAMAGE THE NIPPLES.
(1) Remove the blanking caps. (2) Install the fuel return valve in position on the bracket (20), on the fan frame between flanges E and F, at the 10 o'clock position.
(a) Lubricate the threads of the bolts (100) with graphite grease (Material No.CP2101) .
(b) Attach the fuel return valve to the bracket (20) with the bolts (100) and the washers (110).

(3) Lubricate the threads of the nipples with fuel, and connect the tubes and the hoses that follow:
(a) Shutoff signal (PB/PSF) fuel tube (30)
(b) Fuel pump HP tube (40)
(c) IDG cooler tube (50)
(d) Fuel pump LP tube (60)
(e) Drain tube (90)
(f) Fuel return tube (10).
(g) Install the coupling nuts as follows:
CAUTION:
USE TWO WRENCHES TO REMOVE OR INSTALL THE TUBE COUPLING NUTS:
1 TORQUE the shutoff signal (PB/PSF) fuel tube (30) and the fuel pump HP tube (40) coupling nuts to between 150 and 135 lbf.in (1.70 and 1.53 m.daN ) - ONE WRENCH TO HOLD THE UNION, AND
- ONE TO LOOSEN OR TIGHTEN THE COUPLING NUT.
. 2 TORQUE the drain tube (90) coupling nut to between 315 and 300 lbf.in (3.56 and 3.39 m.daN )
. 3 TORQUE the fuel return tube (10) coupling nut to between 1050 and 1000 lbf.in (11.87 and 11.30 m.daN )
. 4 TORQUE the IDG cooler tube (50) and the Fuel pump LP tube (60) coupling nuts to between 550 and 450 lbf.in (6.22 and 5.09 m.daN )

(4) Lubricate the threads of the nipples with fuel, and connect the tubes and hoses that follow:
(a) Fuel pump HP tube (40)
(b) Fuel pump LP tube (60)
(c) Bypass (PB/PSF) fuel tube (30) on the fuel return valve and on the fuel pump LP tube (60).
(d) IDG cooler tube (50)
(e) Drain tube (90)
(f) Fuel return tube (10).
(g) Install the coupling nuts as follows:
CAUTION:
USE TWO WRENCHES TO REMOVE OR INSTALL THE TUBE COUPLING NUTS:

. (6) Make sure that the connectors and the receptacles are clean and clear of unwanted materials.
(7) Connect HJ7 harness connectors (70) and HJ8 harness connector (80) to the FRV receptacle. Use the PLIERS - CONNECTOR, JAW, SOFT only if necessary.
(8) Make sure that the connectors are fully engaged and do not move.
B. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):
