Installation of the Servo Fuel Heater (SFH)
WARNING:
BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU DO WORK ON THE ENGINE PARTS AFTER THE ENGINE SHUTDOWN. USE APPLICABLE THERMAL GLOVES. THE ENGINE PARTS CAN STAY HOT FOR ONE HOUR AFTER SHUTDOWN AND CAN BURN YOU.

A. Safety Precautions
(1) On the center pedestal, on ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Make sure that the ENG/MODE selector switch is in the NORM position.
(b) Make sure that the ENG/MASTER 1(2) control switch was in the OFF position not less than five minutes before you do this procedure.
(c) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) are in position to tell persons not to operate:
(a) Make sure that the ON legend of the FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
(b) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to energize FADEC 1(2).
Subtask 73-11-20-010-057-A (1) On the center pedestal, on ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Make sure that the ENG/MODE selector switch is in the NORM position.

B. Get Access
(1) Make sure that the fan cowl doors are open (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-803):

(2) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 1M(3 FT) is in position.
4. Procedure(1) Make sure that the fan cowl doors are open (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-803):
(a) FOR [4020KM1] (POWER PLANT-DEMOUNTABLE, ENGINE 1)

(2) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 1M(3 FT) is in position.
WARNING:
USE PERSONAL PROTECTION EQUIPMENT. USE THE ENGINE OIL IN A WELL-VENTILATED AREA. ENGINE OIL IS TOXIC.
Subtask 73-11-20-420-054-A A. Installation of the Servo Fuel Heater
(1) Remove all the COVER - PROTECTION and CAP - PROTECTION from the openings, tubes, hoses and connectors.
(2) Make sure that the mating surfaces are clean and clear of unwanted materials.
(3) Lubricate the threads of the four bolts (15) with the engine oil (Material No.CP2442) .
(4) Install the SFH (1) on the four mounting brackets (17) in the correct position.
(5) Install the four bolts (15) and the four washers (16) on the SFH (1) and tighten them with your hand.
(6) TORQUE the four bolts (15) to between 74.3 and 67.2 lbf.in (0.84 and 0.76 m.daN )

(7) Connection of the fuel tube (12) to the SFH (1):
(a) Make sure that the mating surfaces are clean and clear of unwanted materials.
(b) Lubricate the threads of the four bolts (13) and the new EIPC 73-11-20-01-080 GASKET (14) with the engine oil (Material No.CP2442) .
(c) Install the new gasket (14) and the fuel tube (12) in the correct position on the SFH (1).
(d) Install the four bolts (13) on the fuel tube (12) and tighten them with your hand.
(e) TORQUE the four bolts (13) to between 120.75 and 109.25 lbf.in (1.36 and 1.23 m.daN )

(8) Connection of the fuel tube (9) to the SFH (1):
(a) Make sure that the mating surfaces are clean and clear of unwanted materials.
(b) Lubricate the threads of the four bolts (10) and the new EIPC 73-11-20-01-060 GASKET (11) with the engine oil (Material No.CP2442) .
(c) Install the new gasket (11) and the fuel tube (9) in the correct position on the SFH (1).
(d) Install the four bolts (10) on the fuel tube (9) and tighten them with your hand.
(e) TORQUE the four bolts (10) to between 120.75 and 109.25 lbf.in (1.36 and 1.23 m.daN )

(9) Connection of the oil tube (6) to the SFH (1):
(a) Make sure that the mating surfaces are clean and clear of unwanted materials.
(b) Lubricate the threads of the four bolts (7) and the new EIPC 73-11-20-01-020 GASKET (8) with the engine oil (Material No.CP2442) .
(c) Install the new gasket (8) and the oil tube (6) in the correct position on the SFH (1).
(d) Install the four bolts (7) on the oil tube (6) and tighten them with your hand.
(e) TORQUE the four bolts (7) to between 120.75 and 109.25 lbf.in (1.36 and 1.23 m.daN )

(10) Connection of the oil tube (3) to the SFH (1):
(a) Make sure that the mating surfaces are clean and clear of unwanted materials.
(b) Lubricate the threads of the four bolts (4) and the new EIPC 73-11-20-01-040 GASKET (5) with the engine oil (Material No.CP2442) .
(c) Install the new gasket (5) and the oil tube (3) in the correct position on the SFH (1).
(d) Install the four bolts (4) on the oil tube (3) and tighten them with your hand.
(e) TORQUE the four bolts (4) to between 120.75 and 109.25 lbf.in (1.36 and 1.23 m.daN )

(11) Replenish the oil system (Ref. AMM TASK 12-13-79-610-805).
5. Close-up(1) Remove all the COVER - PROTECTION and CAP - PROTECTION from the openings, tubes, hoses and connectors.
(2) Make sure that the mating surfaces are clean and clear of unwanted materials.
(3) Lubricate the threads of the four bolts (15) with the engine oil (Material No.CP2442) .
(4) Install the SFH (1) on the four mounting brackets (17) in the correct position.
(5) Install the four bolts (15) and the four washers (16) on the SFH (1) and tighten them with your hand.
(6) TORQUE the four bolts (15) to between 74.3 and 67.2 lbf.in (0.84 and 0.76 m.daN )
. (7) Connection of the fuel tube (12) to the SFH (1):
(a) Make sure that the mating surfaces are clean and clear of unwanted materials.
(b) Lubricate the threads of the four bolts (13) and the new EIPC 73-11-20-01-080 GASKET (14) with the engine oil (Material No.CP2442) .
(c) Install the new gasket (14) and the fuel tube (12) in the correct position on the SFH (1).
(d) Install the four bolts (13) on the fuel tube (12) and tighten them with your hand.
(e) TORQUE the four bolts (13) to between 120.75 and 109.25 lbf.in (1.36 and 1.23 m.daN )
. (8) Connection of the fuel tube (9) to the SFH (1):
(a) Make sure that the mating surfaces are clean and clear of unwanted materials.
(b) Lubricate the threads of the four bolts (10) and the new EIPC 73-11-20-01-060 GASKET (11) with the engine oil (Material No.CP2442) .
(c) Install the new gasket (11) and the fuel tube (9) in the correct position on the SFH (1).
(d) Install the four bolts (10) on the fuel tube (9) and tighten them with your hand.
(e) TORQUE the four bolts (10) to between 120.75 and 109.25 lbf.in (1.36 and 1.23 m.daN )
. (9) Connection of the oil tube (6) to the SFH (1):
(a) Make sure that the mating surfaces are clean and clear of unwanted materials.
(b) Lubricate the threads of the four bolts (7) and the new EIPC 73-11-20-01-020 GASKET (8) with the engine oil (Material No.CP2442) .
(c) Install the new gasket (8) and the oil tube (6) in the correct position on the SFH (1).
(d) Install the four bolts (7) on the oil tube (6) and tighten them with your hand.
(e) TORQUE the four bolts (7) to between 120.75 and 109.25 lbf.in (1.36 and 1.23 m.daN )
. (10) Connection of the oil tube (3) to the SFH (1):
(a) Make sure that the mating surfaces are clean and clear of unwanted materials.
(b) Lubricate the threads of the four bolts (4) and the new EIPC 73-11-20-01-040 GASKET (5) with the engine oil (Material No.CP2442) .
(c) Install the new gasket (5) and the oil tube (3) in the correct position on the SFH (1).
(d) Install the four bolts (4) on the oil tube (3) and tighten them with your hand.
(e) TORQUE the four bolts (4) to between 120.75 and 109.25 lbf.in (1.36 and 1.23 m.daN )
. (11) Replenish the oil system (Ref. AMM TASK 12-13-79-610-805).

B. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Close the fan cowl doors (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-410-803):
(a) FOR [4020KM1] (POWER PLANT-DEMOUNTABLE, ENGINE 1)

(3) Remove the access platform(s).
(4) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Close the fan cowl doors (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-410-803):
