A. Safety Precautions
(1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to start the engine.
(2) Make sure that the engine 1(2) shutdown occurred not less than 5 minutes before you do this procedure.
(3) On the overhead maintenance panel 50VU:
(a) Make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
(b) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to energize the FADEC 1(2).

4. Procedure
Subtask 73-11-10-010-054-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

A. Removal of the Handcranking Drive Cover. (Ref. AMM TASK 72-63-00-000-004)
(1) Cut and remove the lockwire. Remove the 2 bolts (10) and washers (20) which attach the cover (40) to the AGB forward face.
(2) Install the 856A2632 PULLER (856A2632G01) in the tapped hole of the cover (40). Tighten by hand.
(3) Remove the cover (40). Use a HAMMER - SLIDE, if neccessary.
(4) Remove the 856A2632 PULLER from the cover. Remove and discard the 2 O-rings (30).
(5) Engage a ADAPTER 0,75 IN (19,05 MM) - SQUARE DRIVE , with shear-neck, in the handcranking drive shaft.

B. Remove inspection plug (10) (lube flow screen) from the fuel pump as follows:

Check of Impeller Rotation ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

(1) Cut and remove lockwire.
(2) Remove plug (10) from pump cover assembly.
(3) Remove and discard preformed packings (20 and 30) from plug (10).

C. Inspection of the Impeller Rotation.
(1) Manually turn the handcranking drive shaft.
(2) Through the plug (10) orifice, check that LP pump impeller turns freely and correctly.
(a) If so, reinstall the removed parts.
(b) If not, replace the pump (Ref. AMM TASK 73-11-10-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 73-11-10-400-001).

D. Install the handcranking drive pad cover (Ref. AMM TASK 72-63-00-400-004)

E. Install inspection plug (10).
(1) Apply a thin layer of engine oil (Material No.CP2442) to two new AIPC 73-11-10-01-140 O-RING (20) and AIPC 73-11-10-01-150 O-RING (30) and install them in the grooves of plug (10).
(2) Install plug (10). TORQUE to between 110 and 90 lbf.in (1.24 and 1.02 m.daN )

and wirelock with CP8001lockwire 0.032 in. (0.8 mm) dia. or CP8002lockwire 0.032 in. (0.8 mm) dia.

F. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Close the thrust reverser cowl doors: (Ref. AMM TASK 78-36-00-410-040)

(3) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
