Subtask 72-63-00-860-051-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
1 Attach two legs of the sling to the AGB mounting lugs with the two lockpins supplied.
2 Remove the AGB from the shipping container with a hoist.
(b) Install the AGB on a 856A2754G02 FIXTURE, SUPPORT-AGB as follows:
1 Put the AGB in position above the support fixture installed on a hydraulic hoist platform.
2 Slowly lower the AGB on the support fixture.
3 Engage part of tool (856A2754P09) in the right mount yoke of the AGB and attach with pin (856A2754P31).
4 Engage part of tool (856A2754P08) in the left mount yoke of the AGB and attach with pin (856A2754P31).
5 Engage locating pin (856A2754P17) in the rear mount yoke of the AGB and attach with support P15 and bolt P20.
6 Disconnect the two legs of 856A3519 SLING LIFT AGB (G01) or (G02) from the AGB.

A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU, make sure that a WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to start the engine.
(2) On the overhead maintenance panel 50VU, make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off. Make sure that a WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to energize the FADEC 1(2).
(3) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 1M(3 FT) is in position.

CAUTION:
BEFORE INSTALLATION, YOU MUST APPLY A THIN LAYER OF GRAPHITE GREASE TO ALL BOLTS AND NUTS.
CAUTION:
BEFORE CONNECTION, YOU MUST APPLY A THIN LAYER OF ENGINE OIL TO ALL NIPPLES.
CAUTION:
REMOVE THE PLUGS FROM ALL TUBE PORTS BEFORE CONNECTION.
CAUTION:
REMOVE CAPS AND PLUGS FROM THE AGB HOUSING BEFORE INSTALLATION OF THE EQUIPMENT.
CAUTION:
USE TWO WRENCHES TO REMOVE OR INSTALL THE TUBE COUPLING NUTS:
B. Preparation for the Installation of the AGB - ONE WRENCH TO HOLD THE UNION, AND
- ONE TO LOOSEN OR TIGHTEN THE COUPLING NUT.
NOTE: The TGB is assumed to be held by 856A2726 TURNBUCKLE-TGB SUPPORT (G01).
(1) Remove the AGB from its storage position as follows: NOTE: If AGB removal purpose is AGB replacement, do the steps which follow.
(a) Install 856A3519 SLING LIFT AGB (G01) or (G02) on the AGB as follows: 1 Attach two legs of the sling to the AGB mounting lugs with the two lockpins supplied.
2 Remove the AGB from the shipping container with a hoist.
(b) Install the AGB on a 856A2754G02 FIXTURE, SUPPORT-AGB as follows:
1 Put the AGB in position above the support fixture installed on a hydraulic hoist platform.
2 Slowly lower the AGB on the support fixture.
3 Engage part of tool (856A2754P09) in the right mount yoke of the AGB and attach with pin (856A2754P31).
4 Engage part of tool (856A2754P08) in the left mount yoke of the AGB and attach with pin (856A2754P31).
5 Engage locating pin (856A2754P17) in the rear mount yoke of the AGB and attach with support P15 and bolt P20.
6 Disconnect the two legs of 856A3519 SLING LIFT AGB (G01) or (G02) from the AGB.
C. Installation of the Control Alternator
(1) Install the Control Alternator as follows:
(a) Remove the handcranking drive cover (Ref. AMM TASK 72-63-00-000-004).
(b) Install the rotor on the alternator drive shaft.
(c) Apply engine oil (Material No.CP2442) to the threads of the AGB drive shaft.
(d) Install the nut (700) to attach the rotor. TORQUE nut to between 360 and 300 lbf.in (4.07 and 3.39 m.daN )
with a 3-4 inch ratchet wrench in the handcranking drive for countertorque.
(e) Install a new AIPC 73-21-30-01-200 O-RING (610) and attach the stator (620) to the AGB housing with three bolts (680) and washers (690). TORQUE the bolts to between 70 and 55 lbf.in (0.79 and 0.62 m.daN )
.
(f) Remove the handcranking drive nut and the handcranking drive (Ref. AMM TASK 72-63-00-860-002).
(2) Install the N2 Speed Sensor as follows:
(a) Install a new AIPC 77-11-20-01-020 O-RING (660) on the N2 speed sensor.
(b) Install the N2 speed sensor.
(3) Install the fuel pump and HMU package as follows:
(a) Install a new AIPC 73-11-10-01-050 O-RING (760) on the drive shaft.

(b) Lubricate the re-usable or new AIPC 73-11-10-01-070 SEAL RING ASSEMBLY (750) with engine oil (Material No.CP2442) and install on fixed part of QAD ring.

POST SB CFM 72-0454.
(c) Install the seal ring assembly (750) as follows:
2 Lubricate the seal ring assembly (750) with engine oil (Material No.CP2442) .
3 Install the seal ring assembly (750) on the QAD ring.
END OF SB CFM 72-0454.
(d) Make sure that the three tabs of the seal are properly locked by the lugs of the adapter flange.
(e) Apply a thin layer of engine oil (Material No.CP2442) to the splines of the fuel pump shaft.
2 Make sure that the retaining washer assembly and the ball-seat washer are installed on the QAD bolt.
(4) Attach the package as follows:
(b) TORQUE the QAD bolt (710) to between 320 and 310 lbf.in (3.62 and 3.50 m.daN )
.
(c) Radially tap the exposed outer diameter of the QAD ring with a MALLET - RUBBER, to set the ring to its correct position.
(d) Do steps (b) and (c) two more times.
(e) Check the QAD ring (730) as follows:
1 Make sure that the gap (DIM. A) between the boss of the QAD ring (730) and the flange of the QAD ring support is between 0.25 in. (6.35 mm) and 1 in. (25.40 mm).
(f) Loosen and torque the QAD bolt (710) to between 230 and 190 lbf.in (2.60 and 2.15 m.daN )
. CP8001 lockwire 0.032 in. (0.8 mm) dia. or CP8002 lockwire 0.032 in. (0.8 mm) dia . (Ref. AMM TASK 70-22-00-911-001)
(a) Install the new AIPC 79-21-10-01-050 O-RING (630) and the new AIPC 79-21-10-01-190 O-RING (640) on the shaft and the flange.
(b) Install the lubrication unit on the AGB housing and attach it with a "V" clamp and a nut (650). TORQUE nut to between 80 and 70 lbf.in (0.90 and 0.79 m.daN )
.
(c) Install the oil scavenge tube of the forward sump as follows:
1 Install a gasket between the tube flange and the lubrication unit. Install the tube. Handtighten the four bolts.
2 Install a gasket between the tube flange and the AGB housing. Handtighten the four bolts.
3 TORQUE the eight bolts to between 50 and 45 lbf.in (0.57 and 0.51 m.daN )

(d) Install the oil scavenge tube of the aft sump as follows:
1 Install a gasket between the tube flange and the lubrication unit. Install the tube. Handtighten the four bolts.
2 Install a gasket between the tube flange and the AGB housing. Handtighten the four bolts.
3 TORQUE the eight bolts to between 50 and 45 lbf.in (0.57 and 0.51 m.daN )
.
(e) Install the scavenge tube of the AGB as follows:
1 Install a gasket between the tube flange and the lubrication unit. Install the tube. Handtighten the four bolts on lubrication unit.
2 Install a gasket between the tube flange and the AGB housing. Handtighten the two bolts.
3 Install the bracket and attach it with the two remaining bolts. Handtighten the bolts.
4 TORQUE the eight bolts to between 50 and 45 lbf.in (0.57 and 0.51 m.daN )
.
5 Attach the clamps installed on the AGB and the AFT sump tubes to the bracket located over the control alternator with bolt and nut. TORQUE the bolt to between 110 and 100 lbf.in (1.24 and 1.13 m.daN )
.
(f) Install the scavenge tube of the TGB as follows:
1 Install a gasket between the tube flange and the lubrication unit. Install the tube. Handtighten the four bolts.
2 Install a gasket between the tube flange and the AGB housing. Handtighten the four bolts.
3 TORQUE the eight bolts to between 50 and 45 lbf.in (0.57 and 0.51 m.daN )
.
4 Attach the clamp to the bracket located over the control alternator using bolt and nut. TORQUE bolt to between 110 and 100 lbf.in (1.24 and 1.13 m.daN )
.
(g) Install the oil supply tube of the TGB as follows:
1 Connect the tube to the nipple of the lubrication unit and the AGB housing. TORQUE nuts to between 500 and 450 lbf.in (5.65 and 5.09 m.daN )
.
2 Attach the clamp to the bracket near the lubrication unit with a bolt. TORQUE bolt to between 472.5 and 427.5 lbf.in (5.34 and 4.83 m.daN )
.
(h) Install the rear oil supply tube as follows:
1 Connect the tube to the nipples of the lubrication unit and the AGB housing. TORQUE nuts to between 300 and 270 lbf.in (3.39 and 3.05 m.daN )
.
2 Attach the clamp to the bracket near the lubrication unit with a bolt. TORQUE bolt to between 50 and 45 lbf.in (0.57 and 0.51 m.daN )
.
Subtask 72-63-00-420-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Install the Control Alternator as follows:
(a) Remove the handcranking drive cover (Ref. AMM TASK 72-63-00-000-004).
(b) Install the rotor on the alternator drive shaft.
(c) Apply engine oil (Material No.CP2442) to the threads of the AGB drive shaft.
(d) Install the nut (700) to attach the rotor. TORQUE nut to between 360 and 300 lbf.in (4.07 and 3.39 m.daN )
with a 3-4 inch ratchet wrench in the handcranking drive for countertorque. (e) Install a new AIPC 73-21-30-01-200 O-RING (610) and attach the stator (620) to the AGB housing with three bolts (680) and washers (690). TORQUE the bolts to between 70 and 55 lbf.in (0.79 and 0.62 m.daN )
. (f) Remove the handcranking drive nut and the handcranking drive (Ref. AMM TASK 72-63-00-860-002).
(2) Install the N2 Speed Sensor as follows:
(a) Install a new AIPC 77-11-20-01-020 O-RING (660) on the N2 speed sensor.
(b) Install the N2 speed sensor.
(3) Install the fuel pump and HMU package as follows:
(a) Install a new AIPC 73-11-10-01-050 O-RING (760) on the drive shaft.

(b) Lubricate the re-usable or new AIPC 73-11-10-01-070 SEAL RING ASSEMBLY (750) with engine oil (Material No.CP2442) and install on fixed part of QAD ring.
END PRE SB CFM 72-0454.
POST SB CFM 72-0454.
(c) Install the seal ring assembly (750) as follows:
NOTE: The seal ring assembly has a support (metal ring) and a preformed packing.
1 If necessary, install a new (CNS 73-11-10-01-070) preformed packing on the support (metal ring). 2 Lubricate the seal ring assembly (750) with engine oil (Material No.CP2442) .
3 Install the seal ring assembly (750) on the QAD ring.
END OF SB CFM 72-0454.
(d) Make sure that the three tabs of the seal are properly locked by the lugs of the adapter flange.
(e) Apply a thin layer of engine oil (Material No.CP2442) to the splines of the fuel pump shaft.
CAUTION:
AS YOU BRING THE FUEL PUMP AND HMU PACKAGE NEAR THE AGB, MOVE THE CABLES AND LINES TO MAKE THE WAY CLEAR FOR THE PACKAGE.
CAUTION:
DURING INSTALLATION, KEEP THE DRIVE SHAFT PERPENDICULAR TO THE AGB MOUNTING FLANGE, MAKE SURE THAT THERE IS NO LOAD ON THE DRIVE SHAFT.
CAUTION:
CAREFULLY ALIGN THE PUMP WITH THE AGB TO PREVENT SPLINE DAMAGE. CORRECTLY ALIGN THE LOCATING DOWELS.
1 Engage the fuel pump in the AGB, while you align the fuel pump locating pins with the related adapter flange holes and the fuel pump shaft splines with the AGB gearshaft internal splines. 2 Make sure that the retaining washer assembly and the ball-seat washer are installed on the QAD bolt.
(4) Attach the package as follows:
CAUTION:
TAKE CARE NOT TO DAMAGE THE QAD RING.
(a) Turn the QAD ring (730) clockwise until it is correctly installed. (b) TORQUE the QAD bolt (710) to between 320 and 310 lbf.in (3.62 and 3.50 m.daN )
. (c) Radially tap the exposed outer diameter of the QAD ring with a MALLET - RUBBER, to set the ring to its correct position.
(d) Do steps (b) and (c) two more times.
(e) Check the QAD ring (730) as follows:
1 Make sure that the gap (DIM. A) between the boss of the QAD ring (730) and the flange of the QAD ring support is between 0.25 in. (6.35 mm) and 1 in. (25.40 mm).
NOTE: If necessary, use minimum tightening TORQUE to get the minimum gap (DIM. A).
2 If the gap (DIM. A) is out of these limits, change the QAD ring (730) and install a new one. Start its installation at the last step of the previous paragraph. (f) Loosen and torque the QAD bolt (710) to between 230 and 190 lbf.in (2.60 and 2.15 m.daN )
. NOTE: The final torque value and safety wiring of the QAD bolt must be applied after engine checks.
(5) Install the Lubrication Unit as follows: (a) Install the new AIPC 79-21-10-01-050 O-RING (630) and the new AIPC 79-21-10-01-190 O-RING (640) on the shaft and the flange.
(b) Install the lubrication unit on the AGB housing and attach it with a "V" clamp and a nut (650). TORQUE nut to between 80 and 70 lbf.in (0.90 and 0.79 m.daN )
. (c) Install the oil scavenge tube of the forward sump as follows:
1 Install a gasket between the tube flange and the lubrication unit. Install the tube. Handtighten the four bolts.
2 Install a gasket between the tube flange and the AGB housing. Handtighten the four bolts.
3 TORQUE the eight bolts to between 50 and 45 lbf.in (0.57 and 0.51 m.daN )
. (d) Install the oil scavenge tube of the aft sump as follows:
1 Install a gasket between the tube flange and the lubrication unit. Install the tube. Handtighten the four bolts.
2 Install a gasket between the tube flange and the AGB housing. Handtighten the four bolts.
3 TORQUE the eight bolts to between 50 and 45 lbf.in (0.57 and 0.51 m.daN )
. (e) Install the scavenge tube of the AGB as follows:
1 Install a gasket between the tube flange and the lubrication unit. Install the tube. Handtighten the four bolts on lubrication unit.
2 Install a gasket between the tube flange and the AGB housing. Handtighten the two bolts.
3 Install the bracket and attach it with the two remaining bolts. Handtighten the bolts.
4 TORQUE the eight bolts to between 50 and 45 lbf.in (0.57 and 0.51 m.daN )
. 5 Attach the clamps installed on the AGB and the AFT sump tubes to the bracket located over the control alternator with bolt and nut. TORQUE the bolt to between 110 and 100 lbf.in (1.24 and 1.13 m.daN )
. (f) Install the scavenge tube of the TGB as follows:
1 Install a gasket between the tube flange and the lubrication unit. Install the tube. Handtighten the four bolts.
2 Install a gasket between the tube flange and the AGB housing. Handtighten the four bolts.

. (g) Install the oil supply tube of the TGB as follows:
1 Connect the tube to the nipple of the lubrication unit and the AGB housing. TORQUE nuts to between 500 and 450 lbf.in (5.65 and 5.09 m.daN )
. 2 Attach the clamp to the bracket near the lubrication unit with a bolt. TORQUE bolt to between 472.5 and 427.5 lbf.in (5.34 and 4.83 m.daN )
. (h) Install the rear oil supply tube as follows:
1 Connect the tube to the nipples of the lubrication unit and the AGB housing. TORQUE nuts to between 300 and 270 lbf.in (3.39 and 3.05 m.daN )
. 2 Attach the clamp to the bracket near the lubrication unit with a bolt. TORQUE bolt to between 50 and 45 lbf.in (0.57 and 0.51 m.daN )
. D. Installation of the AGB
(1) Install the AGB on the Fan Frame as follows:
(a) Lubricate a new AIPC 72-63-00-04-010 O-RING (780) with engine oil (Material No.CP2442) . Install the new AIPC 72-63-00-04-010 O-RING (780) on the horizontal drive shaft.
(b) Install a new AIPC 72-62-00-05-030 O-RING (790) in the groove of the oil distributor in the bevel gear:
2 Put the AIPC 72-62-00-05-030 O-RING (790) in the groove of the oil distributor in the bevel gear with PLIERS - NOSE, SOFT, LONG.
(e) Successively install the two mounting pins (550) and (590) as follows:
1 Apply a thin layer of graphite grease (Material No.CP2101) to the threads of the pins.
2 Install the 856A2537 PROTECTOR-MOUNTING PIN (G01) on the external threads of the mounting pins.
3 Turn and install the impact puller in the tapped head of the mounting pins.
4 Set the mounting pins in place.
5 Remove the protector.
6 Install the washers (540) and (580) and the nuts (530) and (570). TORQUE nuts to between 940 and 850 lbf.in (10.62 and 9.61 m.daN )
.
7 Safety the nut (530) with new AIPC 72-00-00-07-150 COTTER PIN (520).
8 Safety the nut (570) with new AIPC 72-00-00-07-110 COTTER PIN (560).
(f) Install and hold the AIPC 72-00-00-08-370 GASKET (510) between the TGB and AGB mating flanges.
(g) Install the three bolts with washers and nuts at flanged bushing locations (2:30, 6:30 and 10:30 o'clock positions). Tighten with your hand.
(h) Install the four bolts with washers and nuts at 11:30, 12:30, 4:30 and 7:30 o'clock positions. Tighten with your hand.
(i) Remove bolt washer and nut from 6:30 o'clock location. Install the lower bracket on the front face of the AGB/TGB interface. Attach the bracket with two bolts, washers and nuts. Tighten with your hand.
(j) Attach the support bracket installed on the left side and on the rear face of the AGB/TGB interface with two bolts and two nuts. Tighten with your hand.
(k) Remove bolt and nut from 2:30 o'clock location. Attach the brackets installed on the right side, on the rear and on the front face of the AGB/TGB interface with three bolts and three nuts and one washer (3:30 o'clock location). Tighten with your hand.
(l) TORQUE all nuts to between 280 and 250 lbf.in (3.16 and 2.83 m.daN )
.
(2) Install the Handcranking Drive Cover (Ref. AMM TASK 72-63-00-400-004), but do not connect the HJ9 harness and the HJ10 harness electrical connectors and do not do the test.
(3) Remove the AGB/TGB turnbuckle as follows:
(a) Loosen the two lateral coupling screws.
(b) Loosen the swivel-head screw and remove the lockpin from the rear mount of the TGB housing.
(c) Remove the two lockpins which attach the lateral stay bars to the external fan frame flange and remove the turnbuckle.
(4) Remove the 856A2754G02 FIXTURE, SUPPORT-AGB as follows:
(a) Loosen the knurled nut and remove the clamp.
(b) Use the related adjusting screw to remove the locating pin from the rear mount of the AGB. Lightly lower the hydraulic hoist platform.
(c) Remove the two front lockpins from the AGB and lateral supports.
(d) Remove the AGB support fixture and the hydraulic hoist platform.
Subtask 72-63-00-420-054-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Install the AGB on the Fan Frame as follows:
(a) Lubricate a new AIPC 72-63-00-04-010 O-RING (780) with engine oil (Material No.CP2442) . Install the new AIPC 72-63-00-04-010 O-RING (780) on the horizontal drive shaft.
(b) Install a new AIPC 72-62-00-05-030 O-RING (790) in the groove of the oil distributor in the bevel gear:
NOTE: If necessary, lubricate the new AIPC 72-62-00-05-030 O-RING (790) with engine oil (Material No.CP2442) .
1 Engage the AIPC 72-62-00-05-030 O-RING (790) through the hole of the oil distributor in the bevel gear with PLIERS - NOSE, SOFT, LONG. 2 Put the AIPC 72-62-00-05-030 O-RING (790) in the groove of the oil distributor in the bevel gear with PLIERS - NOSE, SOFT, LONG.
NOTE: Make sure that O-ring (790) is correctly installed in the groove of the oil distributor in the bevel gear.
(c) Lift and set the AGB at the necessary level under the fan frame with a hydraulic hoist platform. NOTE: The AGB must not touch the adjacent accessories or tubes.
(d) Adjust jack details of the fixture to complete the positioning. (e) Successively install the two mounting pins (550) and (590) as follows:
1 Apply a thin layer of graphite grease (Material No.CP2101) to the threads of the pins.
2 Install the 856A2537 PROTECTOR-MOUNTING PIN (G01) on the external threads of the mounting pins.
3 Turn and install the impact puller in the tapped head of the mounting pins.
4 Set the mounting pins in place.
5 Remove the protector.
6 Install the washers (540) and (580) and the nuts (530) and (570). TORQUE nuts to between 940 and 850 lbf.in (10.62 and 9.61 m.daN )
. 7 Safety the nut (530) with new AIPC 72-00-00-07-150 COTTER PIN (520).
8 Safety the nut (570) with new AIPC 72-00-00-07-110 COTTER PIN (560).
(f) Install and hold the AIPC 72-00-00-08-370 GASKET (510) between the TGB and AGB mating flanges.
(g) Install the three bolts with washers and nuts at flanged bushing locations (2:30, 6:30 and 10:30 o'clock positions). Tighten with your hand.
(h) Install the four bolts with washers and nuts at 11:30, 12:30, 4:30 and 7:30 o'clock positions. Tighten with your hand.
(i) Remove bolt washer and nut from 6:30 o'clock location. Install the lower bracket on the front face of the AGB/TGB interface. Attach the bracket with two bolts, washers and nuts. Tighten with your hand.
(j) Attach the support bracket installed on the left side and on the rear face of the AGB/TGB interface with two bolts and two nuts. Tighten with your hand.
(k) Remove bolt and nut from 2:30 o'clock location. Attach the brackets installed on the right side, on the rear and on the front face of the AGB/TGB interface with three bolts and three nuts and one washer (3:30 o'clock location). Tighten with your hand.
(l) TORQUE all nuts to between 280 and 250 lbf.in (3.16 and 2.83 m.daN )
. (2) Install the Handcranking Drive Cover (Ref. AMM TASK 72-63-00-400-004), but do not connect the HJ9 harness and the HJ10 harness electrical connectors and do not do the test.
(3) Remove the AGB/TGB turnbuckle as follows:
(a) Loosen the two lateral coupling screws.
(b) Loosen the swivel-head screw and remove the lockpin from the rear mount of the TGB housing.
(c) Remove the two lockpins which attach the lateral stay bars to the external fan frame flange and remove the turnbuckle.
(4) Remove the 856A2754G02 FIXTURE, SUPPORT-AGB as follows:

E. Installation of the AGB External Parts
(1) Install the PSF fuel tube as follows:
(a) Connect the PSF fuel tube to the servo-fuel heater supply tube. Tighten with your hand.
(b) Connect the PSF fuel tube to the fuel return valve. Tighten with your hand.
(c) Attach the clamp to the bracket on the servo-fuel heater with bolt and nut. TORQUE the nut to between 50 and 45 lbf.in (0.57 and 0.51 m.daN )
.
(d) Make sure that the tube is unstrained. TORQUE the two end coupling nuts to between 150 and 135 lbf.in (1.70 and 1.53 m.daN )
.
(2) Install the PSTOP fuel tube as follows:
(a) Connect the PSTOP fuel tube to the SOV fuel tube. Tighten with your hand.
(b) Connect the PSTOP fuel tube to the fuel return valve. Tighten with your hand.
(c) Make sure that the tube is unstrained. TORQUE the two end coupling nuts to between 150 and 135 lbf.in (1.70 and 1.53 m.daN )
.
(3) Install the fuel inlet tubes of the IDG oil cooler as follows:
(a) Install a gasket between the flange of the fuel inlet tube and the IDG oil cooler. Tighten the four bolts with your hand.
(b) Install a gasket between the flange of the fuel inlet tube and the servo fuel heater. Tighten the four bolts with your hand.
(c) Tighten the coupling nut between the tubes with your hand.
(d) TORQUE the eight bolts to between 50 and 45 lbf.in (0.57 and 0.51 m.daN )
.
(e) TORQUE the coupling nut between the tubes to between 1540 and 1340 lbf.in (17.40 and 15.14 m.daN )
.
(4) Install the bracket under the right mount of the AGB as follows:
(a) Attach the bracket to the AGB with two bolts.
(b) TORQUE the bolts to between 110 and 100 lbf.in (1.24 and 1.13 m.daN )

(5) Install the fuel outlet tube of the IDG oil cooler as follows:
(a) Install a gasket between the flange of the fuel outlet tube and the IDG oil cooler. Tighten the four bolts with your hand.
(b) Install a gasket between the fuel pump and the flange of the fuel outlet tube of the IDG oil cooler. Tighten the four bolts with your hand.
(c) TORQUE the eight bolts to between 50 and 45 lbf.in (0.57 and 0.51 m.daN )

(6) Install the oil supply tubes of the servo-fuel heater as follows.
(a) Install a gasket between the flange of the rear tube and the servo fuel heater. Tighten the four bolts with your hand.
(b) Install a gasket between the flange of the forward tube and the lubrication unit. Tighten the four bolts with your hand.
(c) Tighten the coupling nut between the tubes with your hand.
(d) TORQUE the eight bolts to between 50 and 45 lbf.in (0.57 and 0.51 m.daN )

(e) TORQUE the coupling nut between the tubes to between 1100 and 900 lbf.in (12.43 and 10.17 m.daN )

(7) Install the CLP fuel tube as follows:
(a) Connect the tube to the fuel pump. Tighten with your hand.
(b) Connect the tube to the fuel return valve. Tighten with your hand.
(c) Make sure that the tube is unstrained. TORQUE both end coupling nuts of the tube to between 500 and 450 lbf.in (5.65 and 5.09 m.daN )

(8) Attach the clamps to the bracket under the right mount of the AGB as follows:
(a) Attach the clamps of the CLP and PSF tubes to the bracket under the AGB right mount with a bolt and a nut. TORQUE the nut to between 50 and 45 lbf.in (0.57 and 0.51 m.daN )

(10) Attach the clamps to the bracket on the oil tank forward mount assy as follows:

(b) Install the plastic bushing and the inner and outer clip. Attach the PSF and CLP fuel tube clamps on the bracket with bolt and nut. TORQUE nut to between 50 and 45 lbf.in (0.57 and 0.51 m.daN )

(11) Install the HLP fuel tube as follows:
(a) Connect the HLP fuel tube to the fuel return valve. Tighten with your hand.
(b) Connect the tube to the fuel outlet tube of the IDG oil cooler. Tighten with your hand.
(c) Make sure that the tube is unstrained. TORQUE the coupling nuts of the tube to between 550 and 450 lbf.in (6.22 and 5.09 m.daN )

(12) Install the oil supply hose (270) of the forward sump as follows:
(a) Connect the hose to the lubrication unit and to the supply tube of the forward sump.
(b) TORQUE both end coupling nuts to between 150 and 135 lbf.in (1.70 and 1.53 m.daN )

(13) Install the oil supply hose (280) of the lubrication unit as follows:
(a) Install a gasket between the lubrication unit and the flange of the hose. Tighten the four bolts and TORQUE to between 50 and 45 lbf.in (0.57 and 0.51 m.daN )

(b) Connect the hose to the lubrication unit supply tube. TORQUE to between 150 and 135 lbf.in (1.70 and 1.53 m.daN )

(19) Install a gasket between the AGB housing and the flange of the oil scavenge tube of the aft sump. Tighten the four bolts and TORQUE to between 50 and 45 lbf.in (0.57 and 0.51 m.daN )

(20) Connect the TGB oil supply hose to the AGB housing. TORQUE to between 300 and 270 lbf.in (3.39 and 3.05 m.daN )

(21) Install the oil supply tube of the aft sump as follows:
(a) Connect the tube to the AGB housing. Tighten with your hand.
(b) Connect the tube to the related bundle tube.
(c) Attach the clamp to the bracket on the fuel pump with a bolt. Tighten with your hand.
(d) Make sure that the tube is unstrained.
(e) TORQUE the coupling nut of the tube on the AGB housing to between 300 and 270 lbf.in (3.39 and 3.05 m.daN )

(f) TORQUE the coupling nut of the related bundle tube to between 300 and 270 lbf.in (3.39 and 3.05 m.daN )

(31) Install the fuel supply hose of the fuel nozzles as follows:
(a) Install a new AIPC 73-31-10-01-150 O-RING (420) on the hose. Attach the flange of the hose and the bracket to the fuel flow transmitter with four bolts. TORQUE the bolts to between 110 and 100 lbf.in (1.24 and 1.13 m.daN )
.
(b) Connect the hose to the fuel supply tube and to the fuel nozzles. TORQUE to between 1100 and 900 lbf.in (12.43 and 10.17 m.daN )
.
(32) Connect the electrical wiring harnesses as follows:
(b) Harness J8 to HMU and N2 Speed Sensor.
(c) Harness J9 to Control Alternator.
(d) Harness J10 to Control Alternator.
(e) Harness J13 to Fuel Flow Transmitter.
(33) Tighten the two bolts which attach the clamps of J7 and J8 harnesses to the bracket on the rear face of the TGB. TORQUE the bolts to between 50 and 45 lbf.in (0.57 and 0.51 m.daN )
.
(34) Install the ground wire as follows:
(a) Clean the mating faces of the washers, ground wire terminal lugs, AGB and fan inlet case at hole No.67,5 on flange E with acetone (Material No.CP1039) or stoddard solvent (Material No.CP2011) or ardrox 552 (Material No.CP2559) or turco ind 79 (Material No.CP2560) or mag-chem teksol (Material No.CP2566) or degreasol 99 R (Material No.CP2584) or mag-chem skysol (Material No.CP2656) .
(b) Apply a thin layer of brisal-OX (Material No.CP2338) to the mating faces.
(c) Install the ground wire on the front face of flange E of the fan inlet case, at hole No.67,5. Install a washer and a bolt, with the head of the bolt rearwards.
(d) Attach the bolt with a self-locking nut. TORQUE nut to between 110 and 100 lbf.in (1.24 and 1.13 m.daN )
. Let the ground wire hang down.
(e) Connect the ground wire to the AGB housing with a bolt and a washer. TORQUE bolt to between 110 and 100 lbf.in (1.24 and 1.13 m.daN )
.
(f) Do a check of the AGB electrical bonding as follows:
1 Supply a current of 6 A maximum at reduced voltage to a point near one end of the bonding strip.
2 Measure the resistance value between this point and a similar point at the other end of the strip. The resistance must not be more than 0.4 milliohm.
(35) Install the water drain tube of the fan case as follows:
(a) Connect the drain tube to the nipple of the fan case. TORQUE to between 300 and 270 lbf.in (3.39 and 3.05 m.daN )
.
(b) Attach the clamp to the bracket located on the AGB scavenge tube with a bolt and a nut. TORQUE nut to between 50 and 45 lbf.in (0.57 and 0.51 m.daN )
.
(c) Attach the clamps to the water drain tube with harness J10. Install a bolt and a nut. TORQUE nut to between 50 and 45 lbf.in (0.57 and 0.51 m.daN )
.
(36) Install the oil drain plug of the AGB as follows:
(a) Remove the drain plug from the rear face of the AGB housing.
(b) Remove and discard the O-ring (120). Install a new AIPC 72-63-00-07-060 O-RING (120) on the plug.
(c) Tighten the plug. TORQUE the plug to between 205 and 180 lbf.in (2.32 and 2.03 m.daN )
and safety with CP8001 lockwire 0.032 in. (0.8 mm) dia. or CP8002 lockwire 0.032 in. (0.8 mm) dia .

(a) Install a gasket between the flange of the fuel inlet tube and the IDG oil cooler. Tighten the four bolts with your hand.
(b) Install a gasket between the flange of the fuel inlet tube and the servo fuel heater. Tighten the four bolts with your hand.
(c) Tighten the coupling nut between the tubes with your hand.
(d) TORQUE the eight bolts to between 50 and 45 lbf.in (0.57 and 0.51 m.daN )
. (e) TORQUE the coupling nut between the tubes to between 1540 and 1340 lbf.in (17.40 and 15.14 m.daN )
. (4) Install the bracket under the right mount of the AGB as follows:
(a) Attach the bracket to the AGB with two bolts.

(a) Connect the tube to the fuel pump. Tighten with your hand.

(c) Make sure that the tube is unstrained. TORQUE both end coupling nuts of the tube to between 500 and 450 lbf.in (5.65 and 5.09 m.daN )
. (8) Attach the clamps to the bracket under the right mount of the AGB as follows:

(9) Attach the clamps to the bracket located between the fan frame and the lubrication unit as follows:
(a) Attach the clamps of the IDG oil cooler fuel tubes to the bracket with bolt and nut. TORQUE the nut to between 110 and 100 lbf.in (1.24 and 1.13 m.daN )
. (10) Attach the clamps to the bracket on the oil tank forward mount assy as follows:
(a) Attach the clamp of the PSTOP fuel tube to the bracket with bolt and nut. TORQUE nut to between 50 and 45 lbf.in (0.57 and 0.51 m.daN )
. (b) Install the plastic bushing and the inner and outer clip. Attach the PSF and CLP fuel tube clamps on the bracket with bolt and nut. TORQUE nut to between 50 and 45 lbf.in (0.57 and 0.51 m.daN )
. (11) Install the HLP fuel tube as follows:
(a) Connect the HLP fuel tube to the fuel return valve. Tighten with your hand.
(b) Connect the tube to the fuel outlet tube of the IDG oil cooler. Tighten with your hand.
(c) Make sure that the tube is unstrained. TORQUE the coupling nuts of the tube to between 550 and 450 lbf.in (6.22 and 5.09 m.daN )
. (12) Install the oil supply hose (270) of the forward sump as follows:
(a) Connect the hose to the lubrication unit and to the supply tube of the forward sump.
(b) TORQUE both end coupling nuts to between 150 and 135 lbf.in (1.70 and 1.53 m.daN )
. (13) Install the oil supply hose (280) of the lubrication unit as follows:
(a) Install a gasket between the lubrication unit and the flange of the hose. Tighten the four bolts and TORQUE to between 50 and 45 lbf.in (0.57 and 0.51 m.daN )
. (b) Connect the hose to the lubrication unit supply tube. TORQUE to between 150 and 135 lbf.in (1.70 and 1.53 m.daN )
. (14) Connect the oil return hose of the fuel/oil heat exchanger to the return tube of the oil tank. TORQUE to between 150 and 135 lbf.in (1.70 and 1.53 m.daN )
. (15) Attach the clamps between the oil tank and the servo-fuel heater as follows:
(a) Attach the two clamps of the IDG inlet fuel tube and of the oil supply tube of the servo-fuel heater together with a bolt and a nut. TORQUE the nut to between 50 and 45 lbf.in (0.57 and 0.51 m.daN )
. Section DD. (16) Connect the SOV fuel hose to the nipple of the HMU. TORQUE to between 150 and 135 lbf.in (1.70 and 1.53 m.daN )
. (17) Install a gasket between the AGB housing and the flange of the oil scavenge hose of the forward sump. Tighten the four bolts and TORQUE to between 50 and 45 lbf.in (0.57 and 0.51 m.daN )
. (18) Install a gasket between the AGB housing and the flange of the TGB scavenge tube. Tighten the four bolts and TORQUE to between 50 and 45 lbf.in (0.57 and 0.51 m.daN )
. (19) Install a gasket between the AGB housing and the flange of the oil scavenge tube of the aft sump. Tighten the four bolts and TORQUE to between 50 and 45 lbf.in (0.57 and 0.51 m.daN )
. (20) Connect the TGB oil supply hose to the AGB housing. TORQUE to between 300 and 270 lbf.in (3.39 and 3.05 m.daN )
. (21) Install the oil supply tube of the aft sump as follows:
(a) Connect the tube to the AGB housing. Tighten with your hand.
(b) Connect the tube to the related bundle tube.
(c) Attach the clamp to the bracket on the fuel pump with a bolt. Tighten with your hand.
(d) Make sure that the tube is unstrained.
(e) TORQUE the coupling nut of the tube on the AGB housing to between 300 and 270 lbf.in (3.39 and 3.05 m.daN )
. (f) TORQUE the coupling nut of the related bundle tube to between 300 and 270 lbf.in (3.39 and 3.05 m.daN )
. (g) TORQUE the bolt on the bracket to between 50 and 45 lbf.in (0.57 and 0.51 m.daN )
. (22) Connect the LPTACC fuel hose to HMU nipple. TORQUE to between 300 and 270 lbf.in (3.39 and 3.05 m.daN )
. (23) Connect the HPTACC fuel hose to HMU nipple. TORQUE to between 150 and 135 lbf.in (1.70 and 1.53 m.daN )
. (24) Connect the VSV rod hose to HMU nipple. TORQUE to between 300 and 270 lbf.in (3.39 and 3.05 m.daN )
. (25) Connect the VSV head hose to HMU nipple. TORQUE to between 300 and 270 lbf.in (3.39 and 3.05 m.daN )
. (26) Connect the VBV CLOSE hose to HMU nipple. TORQUE to between 300 and 270 lbf.in (3.39 and 3.05 m.daN )
. (27) Connect the VBV OPEN hose to HMU nipple. TORQUE to between 300 and 270 lbf.in (3.39 and 3.05 m.daN )
. (28) Connect the STAGE (BSV) hose to HMU nipple. TORQUE to between 150 and 135 lbf.in (1.70 and 1.53 m.daN )
. (29) Connect the PCR hose to HMU nipple. TORQUE to between 300 and 270 lbf.in (3.39 and 3.05 m.daN )
. (30) Connect the RACC hose to HMU nipple. TORQUE to between 150 and 135 lbf.in (1.70 and 1.53 m.daN )
. (31) Install the fuel supply hose of the fuel nozzles as follows:
(a) Install a new AIPC 73-31-10-01-150 O-RING (420) on the hose. Attach the flange of the hose and the bracket to the fuel flow transmitter with four bolts. TORQUE the bolts to between 110 and 100 lbf.in (1.24 and 1.13 m.daN )
. (b) Connect the hose to the fuel supply tube and to the fuel nozzles. TORQUE to between 1100 and 900 lbf.in (12.43 and 10.17 m.daN )
. (32) Connect the electrical wiring harnesses as follows:
NOTE: A pair of PLIERS - NOSE, SOFT, LONG may be used to connect coupling nuts of electrical cables.
(a) Harness J7 to HMU and N2 Speed Sensor. (b) Harness J8 to HMU and N2 Speed Sensor.
(c) Harness J9 to Control Alternator.
(d) Harness J10 to Control Alternator.
(e) Harness J13 to Fuel Flow Transmitter.
(33) Tighten the two bolts which attach the clamps of J7 and J8 harnesses to the bracket on the rear face of the TGB. TORQUE the bolts to between 50 and 45 lbf.in (0.57 and 0.51 m.daN )
. (34) Install the ground wire as follows:
(a) Clean the mating faces of the washers, ground wire terminal lugs, AGB and fan inlet case at hole No.67,5 on flange E with acetone (Material No.CP1039) or stoddard solvent (Material No.CP2011) or ardrox 552 (Material No.CP2559) or turco ind 79 (Material No.CP2560) or mag-chem teksol (Material No.CP2566) or degreasol 99 R (Material No.CP2584) or mag-chem skysol (Material No.CP2656) .
(b) Apply a thin layer of brisal-OX (Material No.CP2338) to the mating faces.
(c) Install the ground wire on the front face of flange E of the fan inlet case, at hole No.67,5. Install a washer and a bolt, with the head of the bolt rearwards.
(d) Attach the bolt with a self-locking nut. TORQUE nut to between 110 and 100 lbf.in (1.24 and 1.13 m.daN )
. Let the ground wire hang down. (e) Connect the ground wire to the AGB housing with a bolt and a washer. TORQUE bolt to between 110 and 100 lbf.in (1.24 and 1.13 m.daN )
. (f) Do a check of the AGB electrical bonding as follows:
1 Supply a current of 6 A maximum at reduced voltage to a point near one end of the bonding strip.
2 Measure the resistance value between this point and a similar point at the other end of the strip. The resistance must not be more than 0.4 milliohm.
(35) Install the water drain tube of the fan case as follows:
(a) Connect the drain tube to the nipple of the fan case. TORQUE to between 300 and 270 lbf.in (3.39 and 3.05 m.daN )
. (b) Attach the clamp to the bracket located on the AGB scavenge tube with a bolt and a nut. TORQUE nut to between 50 and 45 lbf.in (0.57 and 0.51 m.daN )
. (c) Attach the clamps to the water drain tube with harness J10. Install a bolt and a nut. TORQUE nut to between 50 and 45 lbf.in (0.57 and 0.51 m.daN )
. (36) Install the oil drain plug of the AGB as follows:
(a) Remove the drain plug from the rear face of the AGB housing.
(b) Remove and discard the O-ring (120). Install a new AIPC 72-63-00-07-060 O-RING (120) on the plug.
(c) Tighten the plug. TORQUE the plug to between 205 and 180 lbf.in (2.32 and 2.03 m.daN )
and safety with G. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.

(3) Loosen the QAD bolt (710).
(4) TORQUE the QAD bolt (710) to between 230 and 190 lbf.in (2.60 and 2.15 m.daN )

(5) Safety the QAD bolt (710) withCP8001 lockwire 0.032 in. (0.8 mm) dia. or CP8002 lockwire 0.032 in. (0.8 mm) dia . (Ref. AMM TASK 70-22-00-911-001)
5. Close-up(1) TORQUE the QAD bolt (710) to between 320 and 310 lbf.in (3.62 and 3.50 m.daN )
