(2) Cut and remove the lockwires and remove the LPT borescope plugs S20, S21 and S22.
NOTE: The borescope plugs S20, S21, S22 are located approximately at 5:00 o'clock (ALF) on the LPT case, and from front to rear, relate to the 2nd, 3rd and 4th stages of the LPT respectively.
B. Install the 856A1320 BORESCOPE-KIT (G01) as follows:
(1) Connect the power supply.
(2) Connect light source cable to rigid borescope and to port on 856A1322 BORESCOPE-LIGHT SOURCE SET (856A1322/P02/P03/P04/P07/P08).
(3) Turn light source on; insert borescope and position it as desired for inspection.

Subtask 72-54-00-080-052-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL NOTE: For maximum service limits (Ref. AMM TASK 72-00-00-200-005).
NOTE: The following limits are given for nozzle segments you can see near the borescope holes.
| INSPECT/CHECK | MAXIMUM SERVICEABLE LIMITS | REMARKS |
|---|---|---|
| 1.Cracks in airfoil. | Not serviceable | |
| 2.Cracks in leading edge and/or trailing edge. | Any quantity not more than 0.12 in. (3.05 mm) long. | See limit extension (Ref. AMM TASK 72-00-00-200-005). |
| 3.Nicks and/or dents on leading edge and/or trailing edge. | Any quantity, not more than 0.02 in. (0.5 mm) deep. | See limit extensions (Ref. AMM TASK 72-00-00-200-005). |
| 4.Nicks and/or dents on concave and/or convex sides. | Any quantity, not more than 0.01 in. (0.25 mm) deep. | See limit extensions (Ref. AMM TASK 72-00-00-200-005). |
| 5.Burned areas, hot spots. | Up to 1 in.2 (645.2 mm2) per vane segment if separated by 2 unburned vanes. | See limit extensions (Ref. AMM TASK 72-00-00-200-005). |
| 6.Deposit material peeling off on airfoil. | Any quantity, if you see no bowing and/or melting. | |
