A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU, make sure that a WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to start the engine.
(2) On the overhead maintenance panel 50VU, make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off. Make sure that a WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to energize the FADEC 1(2).
(3) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 1M(3 FT) is in position.

B. Get Access
(1) Make sure that the fan cowls are open: (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-040)

C. Make sure that the thrust reverser is unserviceable (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-481-041).

4. Procedure

A. Install the Fan Duct Panels as follows:
(1) Install the captive screw (150) the washers (180) and the retaining bushings (170) on the fan duct panel (160).
(2) Apply a thin layer of graphite grease (Material No.CP2101) to the threads of the screws (150), and install the panel (160).
(3) Install the panel on the bleed valve cavity and attach it with captive screws.
(4) TORQUE screws to between 95 and 85 lbf.in (1.07 and 0.96 m.daN )

5. Close-up

A. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Close the thrust reverser cowl door: (Ref. AMM TASK 78-36-00-410-040)

(5) Remove the access platform(s).
