B. Get Access
(1) Make sure that the fan cowl doors are open (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-802):

4. Procedure(1) Make sure that the fan cowl doors are open (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-802):

CAUTION:
WIPE CLEAN ALL PARTS AND TOOLS AS NECESSARY TO REMOVE UNWANTED DEBRIS AND PREVENT DAMAGE TO THE ENGINE.
Subtask 71-61-15-420-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL A. Installation of the Inlet Cowl EAI Nozzle Duct
(1) Removal of the protection covers
(2) Install the EAI nozzle duct (10).
(a) Attach the EAI nozzle duct (10) and the shim (13) to the forward bulkhead with the eight bolts (11) and the eight washers (12).
1 Do not torque the bolts (11) at this time.
(b) Loosely install the anti-ice access panel (9) on the aft bulkhead (Ref. AMM TASK 71-61-14-400-801).
1 Put the EAI nozzle duct (10) through the anti-ice access panel (9).
a Do not torque the anti-ice access panel (9) attaching bolts at this time.
(c) Make sure that the distance between the aft surface of the anti-ice access panel (9) and the aft edge of the EAI nozzle duct (10) outer sleeve is between 0.773 in. (19.63 mm) and 0.873 in. (22.17 mm).
1 Add or remove the shims (13) as necessary to get the correct dimension.
(d) TORQUE the bolts (11) to between 90 and 81 lbf.in (1.02 and 0.92 m.daN )

(e) Remove the anti-ice access panel (9) and correctly install it (Ref. AMM TASK 71-61-14-000-801) and (Ref. AMM TASK 71-61-14-400-801).
(f) Put the seal (5) on the EAI nozzle duct (10).
(g) Install the outer EAI housing (4) on the anti-ice access panel (9) with the four bolts (7) and the four washers (6).
(h) TORQUE the bolts (7) to between 90 and 81 lbf.in (1.02 and 0.92 m.daN )

(i) Put the seal (8) on the EAI nozzle duct (10) and the outer EAI housing (4).
(j) Install the inner EAI housing (3) on the outer EAI housing (4) with the four bolts (1) and the four washers (2).
(k) TORQUE the bolts (1) to between 90 and 81 lbf.in (1.02 and 0.92 m.daN )

(a) Install the seal and the V-band coupling that attach the NAI duct to the inner EAI housing (3).
(b) Install the insulation covers.
5. Close-up(1) Removal of the protection covers
CAUTION:
REMOVE THE PROTECTION COVERS FROM THE OPENINGS AS NECESSARY TO PREVENT ENGINE DAMAGE.
(a) Make sure that you remove all the necessary COVER - PROTECTION to prevent damage to the engine. (2) Install the EAI nozzle duct (10).
(a) Attach the EAI nozzle duct (10) and the shim (13) to the forward bulkhead with the eight bolts (11) and the eight washers (12).
1 Do not torque the bolts (11) at this time.
(b) Loosely install the anti-ice access panel (9) on the aft bulkhead (Ref. AMM TASK 71-61-14-400-801).

. (e) Remove the anti-ice access panel (9) and correctly install it (Ref. AMM TASK 71-61-14-000-801) and (Ref. AMM TASK 71-61-14-400-801).
(f) Put the seal (5) on the EAI nozzle duct (10).
(g) Install the outer EAI housing (4) on the anti-ice access panel (9) with the four bolts (7) and the four washers (6).
(h) TORQUE the bolts (7) to between 90 and 81 lbf.in (1.02 and 0.92 m.daN )
. (i) Put the seal (8) on the EAI nozzle duct (10) and the outer EAI housing (4).
(j) Install the inner EAI housing (3) on the outer EAI housing (4) with the four bolts (1) and the four washers (2).
(k) TORQUE the bolts (1) to between 90 and 81 lbf.in (1.02 and 0.92 m.daN )
. NOTE: A maximum distance of 0.010 in. (0.254 mm) is permitted between the inner EAI housing (3) and the outer EAI housing (4) at the fastener locations.
(3) Connect the forward Nacelle Anti-Ice (NAI) duct to the EAI nozzle duct (10) (Ref. AMM TASK 30-21-49-400-807). (a) Install the seal and the V-band coupling that attach the NAI duct to the inner EAI housing (3).
(b) Install the insulation covers.

A. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Close the fan cowl doors (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-410-802):

(3) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
