NOTE: Before you install the retainers, make sure that the bolts and the washers are installed in the related holes.
     (c) Install the center link:
1 Install the link assembly (430) on the beam assembly (310) with the bracket (140) and the pin (130).
2 Install the pin (120) into the pin (130).
3 Install the retainer pin (110).
CAUTION: MAKE SURE THAT THE RETAINER BRACKETS ARE INSTALLED WITH THE CORRECT ORIENTATION. IF THEY ARE NOT, DAMAGE TO THE HEATSHIELD CAN OCCUR.
4 Install the inner retainer (107) and the nut (90).
       5 TORQUE the nut (90) to the minimum value to between 12.88 and 10.85 m.daN (94.98 and 80.01 lbf.ft )
T. Increase the value as necessary to align the nuts with the anti-rotation retainer (107) when the retainer is installed.
NOTE: For the center link, to prevent difficulty when you install the bolts (20), temporarily install the bolts (20) and the washers (45) in the holes of the retainer (107) with the set-up nuts. When ready to install the two outer retainers (67) and (77), remove the set-up nuts and install the required hardware.
6 Temporarily install the anti-rotation retainer (67) and record the position necessary for the alignment of the nut. Then, increase the torque of the nut (90) as necessary (do not torque the nut more than the maximum torque value) to align the nut with the retainer (67).
       7 Install a new
AIPC 71-22-11-01-080 LOCK NUT (81).
NOTE: The lock nut (81) can only be used one time. If you removed the lock nut, discard it and replace it.
       8 TORQUE the lock nut (81) to the minimum value to between 9.63 and 8.95 m.daN (71.02 and 66.00 lbf.ft )
T. Increase the value as necessary to align the lock nut with the anti-rotation retainer (67), when the retainer is installed.
9 Temporarily install the anti-rotation retainer (77) and record the position necessary for the alignment of the lock nut. Then, increase the torque of the lock nut (81) as necessary (do not torque the lock nut more than the maximum torque value) to align the lock nut with the retainer (67).
10 Apply silicone lubricant (Material No.
CP5063) on the threads of bolts (20).
11 Install the outer retainers (67) and (77) on the lock nut (81) and nut (90) with the bolts (20), washers (45) and nuts (50).
       12 TORQUE the nuts (50) to between 0.31 and 0.26 m.daN (27.43 and 23.01 lbf.in ) T.
NOTE: If you use the nuts (50) again, do a 0.02 m.daN (1.77 lbf.in) running torque check.
NOTE: Before you install the retainers, make sure that the bolts and the washers are installed in the related holes.
