(2) Remove the nut (200), the washers (185), (195), the bolt (180) and the retainer (190) from the forward engine mount (150).
(a) Visually examine the nut (200), the washers (185) and (195), the bolt (180) and the retainer (190) for indication of damage. If there are scratches, marks and/or other damage, reject the parts.
(3) Check the TORQUE of the forward mount bolt using the 98D71203002002 CHEST TORQUE SET NM - CFM56-5 ENGINE.
(a) Check the TORQUE value of the bolt (135) is 256 lbf.ft (34.71 m.daN).
1 If using tool adaptor P/N 98D71203002206 with the angle of 22.5 degrees: set the torque wrench 240.8 lbf.ft (32.65 m.daN) to check the required TORQUE value 256 lbf.ft (34.71 m.daN).
2 If using tool adaptor P/N 98D71203002206 with the angle of 67.5 degrees: set the torque wrench 245.6 lbf.ft (33.30 m.daN) to check the required TORQUE values 256 lbf.ft (34.71 m.daN).
(4) If the bolts (135) turn and the torque value is less than the required torque value, all four bolts (135), washers (145) and nuts (140) must be discarded (Ref. AMM TASK 71-21-11-000-044) and (Ref. AMM TASK 71-21-11-400-044).
(5) Put the retainer (190) over the nut (140) and install the retainer (190) on the forward engine mount (150) with the washers (185) and (195), bolt (180) and nut (200).
(6) TORQUE the bolt (180) to between 36 and 24 lbf.in (0.41 and 0.27 m.daN )
.
(7) Installation of the lockwire.
