4. Procedure

CAUTION: WIPE CLEAN ALL PARTS AND TOOLS AS NECESSARY TO REMOVE UNWANTED DEBRIS AND PREVENT DAMAGE TO THE ENGINE.

Subtask 71-13-22-420-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

A. Installation of the Fan Cowl Proximity Sensor Switches
(1) Removal of the protection covers

CAUTION: REMOVE THE PROTECTION COVERS FROM THE OPENINGS AS NECESSARY TO PREVENT ENGINE DAMAGE.

(a) Make sure that you remove all the necessary COVER - PROTECTION to prevent damage to the engine.
(2) Install the proximity sensors (3) on the brackets with the screws (1) and washers (2).
(3) TORQUE the screws (1) to between 78 and 73 lbf.in (0.88 and 0.82 m.daN )

(4) Connect the proximity sensor harness (4146KS) to the proximity sensors (3) (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-61-400-801).
(5) Tighten the connector with the fingers.
(6) Tighten the connector 1/8 to 1/4 of a turn more with PLIERS - JAWED, SOFT.
