B. Get Access
(1) Make sure that the fan cowl doors are open (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-802):

C. Deactivation of the Thrust Reverser System for Maintenance
4. ProcedureWARNING:
YOU MUST DEACTIVATE THE THRUST REVERSER BEFORE YOU DO WORK ON OR AROUND IT. IF YOU DO NOT, THE THRUST REVERSER CAN OPERATE ACCIDENTALLY AND CAUSE AN INJURY AND/OR DAMAGE.
(1) Make sure that you did the deactivation of the thrust reverser system for maintenance (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-040-805). Subtask 71-13-21-420-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

(b) Install the two bolts (1) through the forward sides of the middle and forward latch keeper housings.
(2) TORQUE the nuts (4) to between 200 and 175 lbf.in (2.26 and 1.98 m.daN )

(3) Measure the gaps between the washers (2) adjacent to the nuts (4) and the latch keeper housings with the GAGE - FEELER or equivalent.
(a)
5. Close-upCAUTION:
WIPE CLEAN ALL PARTS AND TOOLS AS NECESSARY TO REMOVE UNWANTED DEBRIS AND PREVENT DAMAGE TO THE ENGINE.
(1) Install the three bolts (1), the washers (2) and (3), and the nuts (4) to the latch keeper housings: NOTE: If necessary, carefully use the PUNCH - FLAT-END and the HAMMER - SLIDE, PULLER, STANDARD to install the bolts (1) in the latch keeper housings.
(a) Install the bolt (1) on the aft side of the aft latch keeper housing.(b) Install the two bolts (1) through the forward sides of the middle and forward latch keeper housings.
(2) TORQUE the nuts (4) to between 200 and 175 lbf.in (2.26 and 1.98 m.daN )
. (3) Measure the gaps between the washers (2) adjacent to the nuts (4) and the latch keeper housings with the GAGE - FEELER or equivalent.

A. Do the reactivation of the thrust reverser system after maintenance (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-440-805).
Subtask 71-13-21-942-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL B. Put the aircraft back to the serviceable condition.
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Close the fan cowl doors (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-410-802):

(3) Remove the access platform(s).
(4) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
