A. Safety Precautions
(1) Make sure that the SAFETY BARRIER(S) are in position.

B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure that the slats are fully extended (Ref. AMM TASK 27-80-00-866-004).
(2) Make sure that the 98D27803000000 LOCKING TOOL-FLAP SLAT LEVER,INT. POSITION is installed on the flap/slat control lever.
(3) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position in the cockpit to tell persons not to operate the slats.
(4) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 4M (13 FT)-ADJUSTABLE is in position below the applicable access panel 521GB(621GB).

D. Get Access
(1) Make sure that access panels 481AL and 472AR are removed (Ref. AMM TASK 54-53-11-000-804).

Subtask 57-41-37-210-066-A
A. Preparation for Installation
(1) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(2) Use a SCRAPER - NON METALLIC and a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) made moist with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) to clean:
(4) Apply Release Agent-- Liquid Wax - (Material No.14DBB1) to the mating surfaces of the access panel (1).
(5) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
Subtask 57-41-37-420-066-A (1) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.

- the interface of the aircraft structure
- the mating surfaces of the access panel (1).
(4) Apply Release Agent-- Liquid Wax - (Material No.14DBB1) to the mating surfaces of the access panel (1).
(5) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
B. Installation of the Access Panel 521GB(621GB)
(1) Hold the access panel (1) in position and loosely install the bolts (2).
(2) Set the access panel (1) so that:

(2) Set the access panel (1) so that:
- There is clearance of 1.5 mm (0.0591 in.) +/- 0.5 mm (0.0197 in.) all around with adjacent panels.
NOTE: This does not include the clearance between panel 521GB(621GB) and panel 521EB(621EB). For this clearance refer to (Ref. AMM TASK 57-41-37-400-002).
(3) TORQUE the bolts (2) to between 1.06 and 0.82 m.daN (93.81 and 72.57 lbf.in )

B. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):

(2) Retract the slats (Ref. AMM TASK 27-80-00-866-005).
