A. Get Access
   (1) Open MLG door 734( 744) (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-010-001).
   (2) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE in position at zone 147(148).
   (3) As necessary, use the applicable SAFETY BARRIERS, specified by the operator's instructions and your local regulations.

B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Obey the fuel safety procedures (Ref. AMM TASK 28-00-00-910-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 28-10-00-910-001).
   (2) Defuel the center tank and move the fuel to a different tank (Ref. AMM TASK 28-25-00-650-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 28-25-00-869-001).
   (3) Drain the remaining fuel from the center tank (Ref. AMM TASK 28-25-00-650-003).

   (1) Remove the bolt (3), the washer (4) and the bonding strip (5).
   (2) Hold the access cover (1) and remove the screws (6) and the washers (7) and (8).
   (3) Remove the access cover (1).
   (4) Remove and discard the seal (2).

WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT THE WARNING/CAUTION PLACARDS ARE INSTALLED AND YOU CAN EASILY READ THEM. THESE PLACARDS TELL PERSONS THAT THERE IS A POSSIBLE LOW OXYGEN CONTENT IN:
  • THE AREA BEHIND THE ACCESS PANEL(S)
  • THE ADJACENT AREAS WHEN THE ACCESS PANEL(S) IS(ARE) OPEN.
IF THE PLACARDS ARE DAMAGED, MISSING OR PAINTED OVER, YOU MUST REPLACE THEM. THESE PLACARDS ARE RELATED TO A CRITICAL DESIGN CONFIGURATION CONTROL LIMITATION (CDCCL).
   (1) Do a visual inspection to see if placards:
  • Are damaged
  • Are missing
  • Have paint on them.
   (2) Make sure that you can easily read the placard message
   (3) If placards are damaged, missing, have paint on them or you cannot easily read them, replace them at the next maintenance check.
   (4) Remove the bolt (3), the washer (4) and the bonding strip (5).
   (5) Hold the access cover (1) and remove the screws (6) and the washers (7) and (8).
   (6) Remove the access cover (1).
   (7) Remove and discard the seal (2).
