3. Job Set-up
Subtask 56-31-17-010-051-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Get Access
   (1) Make sure that the applicable lining panel is removed (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-47-000-001).

B. Preparation for Installation
NOTE: You must use GLOVES - COTTON, LINT-FREE, CLEAN when you touch the window panes and components.
   (1) Examine the window panes and make sure that they are not damaged.
   (2) Clean the inner pane (8), rubber seal (7) and outer pane (6) with clean warm water.
   (3) Do a check and make sure that all the abrasive particles are removed from the components.
   (4) Do the procedure again with a weak solution of soap and water. Use a clean SPONGE or CHAMOIS LEATHER.
   (5) Remove the soap solution with clean warm water.
   (6) Dry the components with a moist chamois leather.
   (7) Application of the plastic cleaner and the anti-static treatment:
     (a) Apply the plastic cleaner:
       1 If stains or dirty marks remain on the window panes, remove them with the plastic cleaner Cleaner-Plastic - - (Material No.08CSA9) and a clean lint-free cloth Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
       2 Remove the plastic cleaner with clean water.
     (b) Apply the anti-static treatment:
       1 Mix 7-parts plastic cleaner Cleaner-Plastic - - (Material No.08CSA9) with 60-parts water.
       2 Apply the anti-static solution to the window panes. Let the window panes dry.
       3 Polish the window panes with a clean lint-free cloth Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
   (8) Install the inner pane (8) in the rubber seal (7).
   (9) Align the inner pane vent-hole (9) with the rubber seal center-marks (10).
   (10) Install the outer pane (6) in the rubber seal (7) and align it with the inner pane (8).
   (11) Make sure that the window frame is clean and there are no dents, corrosion or damaged paintwork.
   (12) Make sure that the retainer (3), retainer attach nuts (4) and eyebolts (5) are in the correct condition.
4. Procedure
Subtask 56-31-17-400-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Installation
   (1) Install the window assembly (2) in the window frame (1).
   (2) Make sure that the vent hole (9), through the inner pane (8), is at the bottom of the window assembly.
   (3) Install the retainer (3). Do not damage the protective surfaces of the retainer.
   (4) Apply the Polysulfide Sealant-Low Adhesion Brushable - (Material No.06AEA1) to the threads of the eyebolts (5).
   (5) Install the retainer attach nuts (4), on the eyebolts (5), but do not tighten at this time.
   (6) Make sure that the window assembly (2) is in the center of the window frame (1).
   (7) Make sure that the outer bead of the rubber seal (7) is the same width around the window frame (1).
   (8) Tighten the retainer attach nuts (4) in a diagonal sequence and TORQUE to between 0.66 and 0.54 m.daN (58.41 and 47.79 lbf.in ) T.
   (9) Paint a mark on the retainer attach nuts (4) and the retainer (3).
   (10) Clean the outer surface of the outer pane (6) (
Ref. AMM TASK 56-21-13-100-002).
   (11) Clean the inboard surface of the inner pane (8) (Ref. AMM TASK 12-21-12-100-004).
5. Close-up
Subtask 56-31-17-410-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Close Access
   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (2) Install the applicable lining panel (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-47-400-001).
   (3) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
