A. General
(1) Do this procedure to measure the scratches during the inspection of:

The windshields (Ref. AMM TASK 56-11-11-200-001)
The fixed windows (Ref. AMM TASK 56-11-12-200-001)
The sliding windows (Ref. AMM TASK 56-12-11-200-001).

4. Procedure
Subtask 56-10-00-220-055-A

A. Measurement Procedure

Mitutoyo Surface Tester SJ201

(1) On surface tester SJ201:
(a) Push the POWER/DATA key (3).
(b) Push the START/STOP key (2).

The detector extends.

(c) On the SJ201 SURFACE TESTER LCD (4), get access to the Ry parameter with the PARAMETER key (1).
(d) Put the SJ201 SURFACE TESTER in position on the window panel for the detector to be perpendicular to the scratch.
(e) Push the START/STOP key (2) to let the detector measure the depth of the scratch.

NOTE: When the measurement is completed, the measured depth values come into view on the surface tester SJ201 LCD (4).

(f) Because the depth of the scratch can be different along its length, measure the depth at a minimum of three locations along the scratch:

At each end and in the middle of the scratch
At more than three locations if the scratch is long.

(g) Compare the largest scratch depth measured with the scratch maximum depth given in the figure related to the scratch inspection (Ref. AMM TASK 56-11-11-200-001), (Ref. AMM TASK 56-11-12-200-001) or (Ref. AMM TASK 56-12-11-200-001).
(h) When surface tester SJ201 is off, push the POWER/DATA key (3) and the START/STOP key (2) at the same time to retract the detector.
