A. Deactivation of the Windshield
(1) Do an inspection of the windshield for:

scratches, cracks, chips, bubbles, delamination, discoloration, interlayer microflakes, transparency, burn spots, burning and damage on the soft liner (self-healing liner) (Ref. AMM TASK 56-11-11-200-001).

NOTE: The damage on the soft liner is only applicable to the windshield that has a soft liner on the inner surface (SGS (formerly SPS) supplier, P/N SPSA320...).

B. Deactivation of the Windshield De-Icing
(1) If the windshield outer ply has cracks or if the windshield has burn spots that are equal to or more than the permitted limit:
(a) Open, safety and tag this(these) circuit breaker(s):

for the left side: 1DG1
for the right side: 1DG2.

(2) Make an entry in the aircraft technical logbook.

C. Close Access
(1) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
(2) Remove the access platform(s).

D. De-energize the ground service network
