A. Deactivation of the Windshield
(1) Do an inspection of the windshield for:

- scratches, cracks, chips, bubbles, delamination, discoloration, interlayer microflakes, transparency, burn spots, burning and damage on the soft liner (self-healing liner) (Ref. AMM TASK 56-11-11-200-001).
NOTE: The damage on the soft liner is only applicable to the windshield that has a soft liner on the inner surface (SGS (formerly SPS) supplier, P/N SPSA320...).

B. Deactivation of the Windshield De-Icing
(1) If the windshield outer ply has cracks or if the windshield has burn spots that are equal to or more than the permitted limit:
(a) Open, safety and tag this(these) circuit breaker(s):

(a) Open, safety and tag this(these) circuit breaker(s):
- for the left side: 1DG1
- for the right side: 1DG2.
C. Close Access
(1) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
(2) Remove the access platform(s).
