3. Job Set-up
Subtask 54-54-11-941-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Safety Precautions
   (1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU:
     (a) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to start the engine.
   (2) Make sure that the engine 1(2) shutdown occurred not less than 5 minutes before you do this procedure.
   (3) On the overhead maintenance panel 50VU:
     (a) Make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
     (b) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to energize the FADEC.

B. Make the thrust reverser unserviceable (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-481-041).

C. Get Access
   (1) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT) in position at zone 470 (480).
4. Procedure
Subtask 54-54-11-220-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Inspection
   (1) Do a detailed visual inspection of the pylon aft-fixed-fairing skin-panels.
   (2) Make sure that there is no dirt:
- If you find dirt, refer to the cleaning procedure in para. 4.B.
Subtask 54-54-11-110-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
B. Cleaning of the Structure
CAUTION: MAKE SURE THAT YOU APPLY PROTECTION TO NON-WATERPROOF ELECTRICAL ITEMS.
   (1) Apply Aqueous Cleaner-Aircraft Exterior Pressure Spraying - (Material No.08ABC1) with a lint-free cotton cloth Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
   (2) Let the material operate for 5 to 10 minutes in relation to the quantity of dirt.
   (3) Clean the dirt areas with a BRUSH - BRISTLED, FIBER, SOFT or a lint-free cotton cloth Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
   (4) Flush the surface with water.
   (5) Let it dry.

C. Inspection
   (1) Do a detailed visual inspection of the pylon aft-fixed-fairing skin-panels.
   (2) Make sure that there is no corrosion damage, heat damage or defective paint:
- If you find corrosion damage, heat damage or defective paint, refer to the Structural Repair Manual SRM 54541101 or SRM 54541102 for damage classification and corrective action.
5. Close-up

A. Make the thrust reverser serviceable (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-081-041).
Subtask 54-54-11-440-050-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Make the thrust reverser serviceable (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-440-012).
Subtask 54-54-11-860-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
B. Put the aircraft back to the serviceable condition.
   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (2) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
   (3) Remove the access platform(s).
