Subtask 54-52-82-941-053-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Safety Precautions
   (1) Make sure that you did the procedure to prevent engine motoring
(Ref. AMM TASK 71-00-00-860-833).
   (2) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE is in position:
     (a) For the left pylon, in zone 410
     (b) For the right pylon, in zone 420.

B. Deactivation of the Thrust Reverser
WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT THE THRUST REVERSER IS LOCKED. IF NOT, THE THRUST REVERSER CAN OPERATE ACCIDENTALLY AND CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONNEL AND/OR DAMAGE TO THE REVERSER.
   (1) Make sure that the thrust reverser is unserviceable for maintenance (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-040-805).

C. Preparation for Installation
F Strips ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
   (1) Use a SCRAPER - NON METALLIC to remove the remaining sealants from the applicable locations of the forward fairing structure at RIB04, RIB06 and RIB07L. Clean the applicable area of the forward fairing structure at RIB04, RIB06 and RIB07L with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
   (2) Make sure that the sealants are removed from the strips (2), (4), (8) and (22).
   (3) If they are not sufficiently clean, use a SCRAPER - NON METALLIC to remove the remaining sealants from the applicable locations of the strips (2), (4), (8) and (22). Clean the applicable area of the strips (2), (4), (8) and (22) with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
   (4) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
4. Procedure
Subtask 54-52-82-420-051-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Installation of the Strips
F Strips ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
   (1) Put and hold the strip (2) in position on the forward fairing structure at RIB04.
   (2) Install the screws (1) and tighten them.
   (3) Put and hold the strip (4) in position on the forward fairing structure at RIB06.
   (4) Install the screws (3) and tighten them.
   (5) Apply Polysulfide Sealant-Fuel Tank Fillet 120 degre Celsius (Material No.06ABB2) on the applicable locations of:
     (a) The forward fairing structure at RIB07L
     (b) The strips (8) and (22).
   (6) Put and hold the strip (8) in position on the forward fairing structure at RIB07L.
CAUTION: MAKE SURE THAT YOU INSTALL EACH OF THE SCREWS IN ITS CORRECT POSITION. THE SCREWS HAVE DIFFERENT LENGTHS. IF YOU DO NOT INSTALL EACH OF THE SCREWS IN ITS CORRECT POSITION, YOU CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.
   (7) Install the screws (7).
   (8) Install the washer (9) and the bolt (10).
   (9) Install the washer (11) and the bolt (12).
   (10) Install the washers (6) and the bolts (5).
   (11) Tighten the bolts (5), (10) and (12) and the screws (7).
   (12) Put and hold the strip (22) in position on the forward fairing structure at RIB07L.
CAUTION: MAKE SURE THAT YOU INSTALL EACH OF THE SCREWS IN ITS CORRECT POSITION. THE SCREWS HAVE DIFFERENT LENGTHS. IF YOU DO NOT INSTALL EACH OF THE SCREWS IN ITS CORRECT POSITION, YOU CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.
   (13) Install the screw (21).
   (14) Install the washer (20) and the bolt (19).
   (15) Install the washer (18) and the bolt (17).
   (16) Install the washer (16) and the bolt (15).
   (17) Install the washers (13) and the bolts (14).
   (18) Tighten the screw (21) and the bolts (14), (15), (17) and (19).
   (19) Apply a bead of Silicone Sealant-High Temp. - - (Material No.06BJB1) at the applicable locations between:
     (a) The strip (2) and the forward fairing structure at RIB04
     (b) The strip (4) and the forward fairing structure at RIB06
     (c) The strip (8) and the forward fairing structure at RIB07L
     (d) The strip (22) and the forward fairing structure at RIB07L.
5. Close-up
Subtask 54-52-82-410-051-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Close Access
   (1) Install the pylon-to-wing access panel (Ref. AMM TASK 54-53-11-400-804):
     (a) For the left pylon: 413DL.
   (2) Install the access skin panels (Ref. AMM TASK 54-52-11-400-805):
     (a) For the left pylon: 413AL 413BL 413CL
     (b) For the right pylon: 423AL 423BL 423CL.

B. Reactivation of the Thrust Reverser
   (1) Make the thrust reverser serviceable after maintenance (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-440-805).

C. Close Access
   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (2) Remove the access platform(s).
   (3) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
