3. Job Set-up
Subtask 54-52-12-941-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Safety Precautions
   (1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU:
     (a) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to start the engine.
   (2) Make sure that the engine 1(2) shutdown occurred not less than five minutes before you do this procedure.
   (3) On the overhead maintenance panel 50VU:
     (a) Make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
     (b) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to energize the FADEC 1(2).
   (4) Make sure that the slats are in the fully retracted position (Ref. AMM TASK 27-80-00-866-005).
   (5) Install the LOCKING TOOL - SLAT CONTROL LEVER (98D27803500000) or 98D27803500001 LOCKING TOOL ZERO POS on the slat control lever.

   (1) Make the thrust reverser unserviceable (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-481-041).

   (1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE in position:
     (a) At zone 410 for the left pylon,
     (b) At zone 420 for the right pylon.

   (2) Remove the screws (3) and the nuts (4).
   (3) Remove the cantilever cover (2).
   (4) Remove the shims (5).
   (5) Remove the plates (6).

B. Installation of the Cantilever Cover

   (2) Install the shims (5).
   (3) Install the cantilever cover (2).
