Subtask 54-52-00-941-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Safety Precautions
(1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Put a warning notice to tell persons not to start the engine.
(2) Make sure that the engine 1(2) shutdown occurred not less than 5 minutes before you do this procedure.
(3) On the overhead maintenance panel 50VU:
(a) Make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
(b) Put a warning notice to tell persons not to energize the FADEC 1(2).

C. Get Access
(1) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE in position:
(a) in the zone 410 for the left pylon,
(b) in the zone 420 for the right pylon.
4. Procedure(1) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE in position:
(a) in the zone 410 for the left pylon,
(b) in the zone 420 for the right pylon.

(1) do the inspection of the forward fairings:
(a) For cracks, nicks and scores:
1 Do a blending or burnishing operation,
2 Make sure that the length and the depth of the cracks, the nicks or the scores are in the permitted limits,
3 Permitted damage on corrosion resistant steel as follows:
1 The depth of dents must not be more than 2% of the minimum width. Maximum depth is 2 mm (0.0787 in.) and maximum area is 10 cm2 (1.55 in.2). If the dent is located near a stiffener, make sure that there are no cracks.
2 Holes are not permitted.

- Zone 2 : Repair this damage before 6000 flights
- Zone 3 : Repair this damage before 100 flights
- Zone 4 : Repair this damage before 50 flights
