3. Job Set-up
Subtask 53-41-00-010-153-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Get Access
   (1) Open the aft cargo-compartment door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001).
   (2) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in the required position.
   (3) If installed, remove the ACT2 from the aft cargo compartment (Ref. AMM TASK 28-11-27-000-001).
   (4) Remove the applicable ceiling panel from the aft cargo compartment (Ref. AMM TASK 25-55-11-000-002), (Ref. AMM D/O 06-41-53-00).

A. Get Access
   (1) Open the aft cargo compartment door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001).
   (2) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in the required position.
   (3) If installed, remove the ACT3 from the aft cargo compartment (Ref. AMM D/O 28-11-27-00).
   (4) If installed, remove the ACT2 from the aft cargo compartment (Ref. AMM D/O 28-11-27-00).
   (5) Remove the applicable ceiling panel from the aft cargo compartment (Ref. AMM TASK 25-55-11-000-002), (Ref. AMM D/O 06-41-53-00).

B. Cleaning Procedure
   (1) Make sure that the inspection area is sufficiently clean to do a satisfactory inspection of the area.
WARNING: BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU USE CONSUMABLE MATERIALS. OBEY THE MATERIAL MANUFACTURER'S INSTRUCTIONS AND YOUR LOCAL REGULATIONS.
   (2) If not, clean the inspection area with a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) and the Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) .
   (3) Make sure that the inspection area is dry before you continue.
4. Procedure
Subtask 53-41-00-210-121-A
A. General Visual Inspection
   (1) Do a general visual inspection of the actuator attach-bracket of the aft cargo door between the floor beams.
     (a) For A320 and A321, do this at FR53, FR54 and FR55.
  • Make sure that you examine the floor beams and the actuator attach-bracket
  • Look for corrosion and other damage to the metal parts.
     (b) For A319, do this at FR56, FR57 and FR58.
  • Make sure that you examine the floor beams and the actuator attach-bracket
  • Look for corrosion and other damage to the metal parts.
     (c) For A318, do this at FR58, FR59 and FR60.
  • Make sure that you examine the floor beams and the actuator attach-bracket
  • Look for corrosion and other damage to the metal parts.
   (2) If you find corrosion damage:
     (a) Refer to the ASRM SRM 512200 for the general corrosion-protection data.
     (b) Repair the corroded areas (Ref. AMM TASK 51-74-11-300-001).
   (3) If you find other damage to the metal parts:
     (a) Refer to the ASRM SRM 511100 for the class of damage.
     (b) Refer to the ASRM SRM 511111 for the permitted damage limits.
     (c) Repair the minor damage (Ref. AMM TASK 51-73-11-300-001) or (Ref. AMM TASK 51-73-11-300-004).
     (d) If you find other damage to the metal parts, that is more than the limits for minor damage, you must:
       1 Refer to the ASRM for the material details, the item identification and the action/repair data:
  • For the floor beams refer to the ASRM SRM 534149.
5. Close-up
Subtask 53-41-00-410-151-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Close Access
   (1) Install the applicable ceiling panel in the aft cargo compartment (Ref. AMM TASK 25-55-11-400-002), (Ref. AMM D/O 06-41-53-00).
   (2) If removed, install the ACT2 in the aft cargo compartment (Ref. AMM TASK 28-11-27-400-001).
   (3) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tool(s) and other items.
   (4) Remove the access platform(s).
   (5) Close the aft cargo-compartment door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-002).
Subtask 53-41-00-410-151-C ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Close Access
   (1) Install the applicable ceiling panel in the aft cargo compartment (Ref. AMM TASK 25-55-11-400-002), (Ref. AMM D/O 06-41-53-00).
   (2) If removed, install the ACT2 in the aft cargo compartment (Ref. AMM D/O 28-11-27-40).
   (3) If removed, install the ACT3 in the aft cargo compartment (Ref. AMM D/O 28-11-27-40).
   (4) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tool(s) and other items.
   (5) Remove the access platform(s).
   (6) Close the aft cargo-compartment door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-002).
