Removal of the Oil-Cooler Transfer Tubes (APS3200)

DO NOT TOUCH THE APU UNTIL IT IS SUFFICIENTLY COOL TO PREVENT BURNS WHEN YOU DO THE MAINTENANCE TASK(S).

AVOID PROLONGED EXPOSURE TO ENGINE OIL ON YOUR SKIN FLUSH OIL FROM YOUR SKIN WITH WATER. WEAR PROTECTIVE CLOTHING, GOGGLES AND FACE MASK. OIL IS POISONOUS AND CAN PENETRATE YOUR SKIN AND INTO YOUR BODY.
WARNING:
LOCK THE MECHANISM OF THE ACCESS DOOR 316AR WITH THE PIP PIN WHEN YOU OPEN THE ACCESS DOOR. THIS WILL PREVENT INJURY.

A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Energize the ground service network
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-861-001).
(2) On the panel 25VU, make sure that the APU MASTER SW p/bsw is OFF.
(3) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in the cockpit to tell persons not to start the APU.
(4) Make sure that the hydraulic systems are depressurized
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-864-001).
Subtask 49-91-44-865-082-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Energize the ground service network
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-861-001).
(2) On the panel 25VU, make sure that the APU MASTER SW p/bsw is OFF.
(3) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in the cockpit to tell persons not to start the APU.
(4) Make sure that the hydraulic systems are depressurized
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-864-001).
B. Open, safety and tag this(these) circuit breaker(s):

C. Get Access
(1) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 4M (13 FT)-ADJUSTABLE in position below the APU access doors 315AL and 316AR.
(2) Open APU access doors 315AL and 316AR (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-00-010-001).
(3) Set the light switch 11LJ to the ON position.
4. Procedure(1) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 4M (13 FT)-ADJUSTABLE in position below the APU access doors 315AL and 316AR.
(2) Open APU access doors 315AL and 316AR (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-00-010-001).
(3) Set the light switch 11LJ to the ON position.

A. Removal of the Oil-Cooler Transfer Tubes
(1) Put the CONTAINER 10 L(2 1/2 USGAL) below the inlet and outlet mount bosses.
(2) Remove the nut (13) and the bolt (12) from the clamp (14).
(3) Turn the clamp (14) to free the tube (5).
(4) Remove the nuts (6).
(5) Disconnect the tube (5) and discard the packing (7).
(6) Disconnect the other end (11).
(7) Remove the tube (5).
(8) Remove the nuts (1).
(9) Disconnect the tube (2) and discard the packing (3).
(10) Disconnect the other end (8).
(11) Remove the union (9) and discard the packing (10).
(12) Remove the tube (2).
(13) Put the PLUG-BLANKING in each disconnected line end.
(1) Put the CONTAINER 10 L(2 1/2 USGAL) below the inlet and outlet mount bosses.
(2) Remove the nut (13) and the bolt (12) from the clamp (14).
(3) Turn the clamp (14) to free the tube (5).
(4) Remove the nuts (6).
(5) Disconnect the tube (5) and discard the packing (7).
(6) Disconnect the other end (11).
(7) Remove the tube (5).
(8) Remove the nuts (1).
(9) Disconnect the tube (2) and discard the packing (3).
(10) Disconnect the other end (8).
(11) Remove the union (9) and discard the packing (10).
(12) Remove the tube (2).
(13) Put the PLUG-BLANKING in each disconnected line end.
