A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration.
   (1) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
   (2) Put a warning notice in the cockpit to tell persons not to start the APU.
   (3) Do a record of the APU HOURS and CYCLES (Ref. AMM TASK 31-36-00-740-015).

C. Get Access
   (1) Open the BULK cargo-compartment door 827 (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-006).
   (2) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) at the BULK cargo-compartment door 827.
   (3) Remove the access panel 162EW (Ref. AMM TASK 25-55-12-000-003).
4. Procedure
Subtask 49-61-34-020-051-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Remove the ECB
WARNING: SUPPORT THE UNIT/ASSEMBLY. THE UNIT/ASSEMBLY IS HEAVY. IF YOU DO NOT SUPPORT IT, IT WILL FALL. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS, AND/OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
   (1) At the ECB tray (1) turn the fluted knobs (2) counterclockwise to release the electronic control box (3).
NOTE: The ECB installation points forward in those aircraft that do not have the optional bulk cargo door. Aircraft with the optional bulk cargo door, have the ECB installation pointed rearwards.
   (2) Carefully pull the ECB (3) from the tray (1) to disconnect the electrical connection (4).
   (3) Remove the ECB (3) from the tray (1).
   (4) Put the CAP-BLANKING on each disconnected electrical connector and receptacle.
