Removal of the Inlet Guide Vane - Actuator (131-9(A))

IF YOU GET FUEL ON YOUR SKIN OR ON YOUR CLOTHES, FLUSH IT IMMEDIATELY WITH WATER.

B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Energize the ground service network
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-861-001).
(2) On the panel 25VU, make sure that the APU MASTER SW p/bsw OFF.
(3) Put a warning notice in the cockpit to tell persons not to start the APU.
(4) Make sure that the hydraulic systems are depressurized
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-864-001).
Subtask 49-23-51-865-063-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Energize the ground service network
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-861-001).
(2) On the panel 25VU, make sure that the APU MASTER SW p/bsw OFF.

D. Get Access
(1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 4M (13 FT)-ADJUSTABLE in position below the APU access doors 315AL and 316AR.
(2) Open the APU access doors 315AL and 316AR (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-00-010-001).
(3) Set the LIGHT control SW 11LJ to the ON position.
4. Procedure(1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 4M (13 FT)-ADJUSTABLE in position below the APU access doors 315AL and 316AR.
(2) Open the APU access doors 315AL and 316AR (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-00-010-001).
(3) Set the LIGHT control SW 11LJ to the ON position.

A. Removal of the Inlet Guide Vane (IGV) - Actuator
(1) Disconnect the electrical connection (6).
(2) Put the CAP-BLANKING on each disconnected electrical connector and receptacle.
(3) Put the CONTAINER 3 L(3/4 USGAL) in position below the IGV actuator (5).
(4) Loosen the captive bolts (1).
(5) Turn the captive plate (2) to release the fuel pipes (3) and (16).
(6) Disconnect the fuel pipes (3), (16) and (18) from the IGV actuator (5).
(7) Remove and discard the O-rings (4), (15) and (17).
(8) Put the PLUG-BLANKING in each disconnected line end.
(9) Loosen the bolts (9) and turn the cover (11).
(10) Remove the captive bolt (10) and the washer (14) to disconnect the rod end (7) from the IGV actuation rod (8).
(11) Remove the bolts (13) and the washers (12).
(12) Remove the IGV actuator (5) from the APU.
(13) Remove the rod end (7) from the IGV actuator (5).
Subtask 49-23-51-020-057-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Disconnect the electrical connection (6).
(2) Put the CAP-BLANKING on each disconnected electrical connector and receptacle.
(3) Put the CONTAINER 3 L(3/4 USGAL) in position below the IGV actuator (5).
(4) Loosen the captive bolts (1).
(5) Turn the captive plate (2) to release the fuel pipes (3) and (16).
(6) Disconnect the fuel pipes (3), (16) and (18) from the IGV actuator (5).
(7) Remove and discard the O-rings (4), (15) and (17).
(8) Put the PLUG-BLANKING in each disconnected line end.
(9) Loosen the bolts (9) and turn the cover (11).
(10) Remove the captive bolt (10) and the washer (14) to disconnect the rod end (7) from the IGV actuation rod (8).
(11) Remove the bolts (13) and the washers (12).
(12) Remove the IGV actuator (5) from the APU.
(13) Remove the rod end (7) from the IGV actuator (5).
A. Removal of the Inlet Guide Vane (IGV) - Actuator
(1) Disconnect the electrical connection (6).
(2) Put the CAP-BLANKING on each disconnected electrical connector and receptacle.
(3) Put the CONTAINER 3 L(3/4 USGAL) in position below the IGV actuator (5).
(4) Remove the bolts (1).

(6) Disconnect the fuel pipes (3), (16) and (18) from the IGV actuator (5).

(8) Put the PLUG-BLANKING in each disconnected line end.
(9) Loosen the bolts (9) and turn the cover (11).
(10) Remove the captive bolt (10) and the washer (14) to disconnect the rod end (7) from the IGV actuation rod (8).
(11) Remove the bolts (13) and the washers (12).
(12) Remove the IGV actuator (5) from the APU.
(13) Remove the rod end (7) from the IGV actuator (5).
