A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Energize the ground service network
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-861-001).
(2) On the panel 25VU, make sure that the APU MASTER SW p/bsw is OFF.
(3) Put a warning notice in the cockpit to tell persons not to start the APU.
(4) Make sure that the hydraulic systems are depressurized
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-864-001).

C. Get Access
(1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 4M (13 FT)-ADJUSTABLE in position below the APU compartment.
(2) Open the APU access doors 315AL 316AR (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-00-010-001).
(3) Set the LIGHT SW 11LJ to the ON position.

4. Procedure
Subtask 49-17-41-020-052-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

A. Removal of the Drain Tank

Drain Tank ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

(1) Disconnect the drain lines (4).
(2) Remove the nuts (3), the washers (2) and the spring adapters (1) from the drain tank (9).
(3) Remove the screws (6), the washers (5) and the nuts (10).
(4) Remove the drain tank (9) and the brackets (7) from the air intake diffuser (8).
(5) Drain the remaining fuel from the drain tank.
(6) Put the PLUG-BLANKING in each disconnected line end.
