A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Put the warning notices on panel 25VU to tell persons not to start the APU.
   (2) Energize the ground service network
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-861-001).
   (3) Make sure that the hydraulic systems are depressurized
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-864-001).

C. Get Access
   (1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 4M (13 FT)-ADJUSTABLE in position below the APU compartment.
   (2) Open the APU access doors 315AL 316AR (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-00-010-001).
   (3) Set the LIGHT control switch 11LJ to the ON position.
   (4) Open access door 314AR and safety it in the open position.
(Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-23-010-801).
4. Procedure
Subtask 49-16-42-020-053-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Removal of the Air Intake Duct
   (1) Remove the air intake flap (Ref. AMM TASK 49-16-43-000-003).
   (2) Remove the air intake nose (Ref. AMM TASK 49-16-44-000-003).
   (3) Remove the screws (2) and the seal assembly from the air intake duct (1).
   (4) Remove the nuts (10), the washers (11), the distance washers (16) and the bolts (13).
   (5) Remove the brackets (12) and the flexible seal (14) from the flange (15).
   (6) Remove the bolts (9), the washers (8) and the screws (19).
   (7) Remove the bolts (4) and the washers (3).
   (8) Remove the nuts (5), the bolts (7) and the washers (6).
   (9) Remove the top flange (17) and the bottom flange (18) from the air intake duct (1).
   (10) Hold the air intake duct (1) and remove the bolts (21) and (22) and the washers (20) and (23).
   (11) Remove the air intake duct (1).
