Removal of the Anti-Syphon Valve
WARNING:
DO NOT DO WORK ON THE TOILET WASTE SYSTEM AND THE POTABLE WATER SYSTEM AT THE SAME TIME. THIS WILL PREVENT CONTAMINATION OF THE POTABLE WATER SYSTEM. SUCH CONTAMINATION CAN BE DANGEROUS TO HEALTH.
WARNING:
ALWAYS USE RUBBER GLOVES WHEN YOU DO WORK:
- ON THE TOILET WASTE SYSTEM, OR
- ON PARTS THAT HAVE CONTAMINATION FROM THE WASTE SYSTEM.
WARNING:
WHEN YOU REMOVE A COMPONENT OF THE TOILET WASTE SYSTEM, ALWAYS DISINFECT THE PART BEFORE YOU PUT IT IN A PLASTIC BAG, THEN SEAL THE BAG.
DO NOT PUT DOCUMENTS INTO THE PLASTIC BAG. SEAL THE BAG FIRST,THEN ATTACH THE DOCUMENTS TO IT.
THIS WILL PREVENT INFECTION OR ILLNESS. CONTAMINATION FROM THE WASTE CAN BE DANGEROUS TO HEALTH.

C. Get Access
(1) Open the lavatory door.
(2) Remove the toilet shroud (Ref. AMM TASK 25-45-22-000-001).
(3) Make sure that the potable water system is depressurized (Ref. AMM TASK 38-10-00-614-002).

(2) Remove the toilet shroud (Ref. AMM TASK 25-45-22-000-001).
(3) Make sure that the potable water system is depressurized (Ref. AMM TASK 38-10-00-614-002).
C. Get Access
(1) Open the lavatory door.
(2) Remove the toilet shroud (Ref. AMM TASK 25-45-22-000-001) (Ref. AMM TASK 25-45-22-000-802).
(3) Make sure that you do the depressurization of the potable water system (Ref. AMM TASK 38-10-00-614-002).
4. Procedure(1) Open the lavatory door.
(2) Remove the toilet shroud (Ref. AMM TASK 25-45-22-000-001) (Ref. AMM TASK 25-45-22-000-802).
(3) Make sure that you do the depressurization of the potable water system (Ref. AMM TASK 38-10-00-614-002).
Subtask 38-31-56-020-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Removal of the Anti-Syphon Valve
(1) Close the potable-water shutoff valve (5).
(2) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to open the potable-water shutoff valve (5).
(3) Put a COVER - BLANKING in the suction port of the toilet bowl.
(4) Remove the coupling clamp (7).
(5) Remove the sleeve (8).
(6) Remove and discard the O-rings (6).
(7) Remove the nuts (3) and the washers (2).
(8) Remove the anti-syphon valve (4).
(9) Remove and discard the O-ring (1).
(10) Put the PLUG-BLANKING in each disconnected line end.
(11) If you use the removed parts again, clean and disinfect them (Ref. AMM TASK 38-30-00-510-001).
Subtask 38-31-56-020-050-C ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Close the potable-water shutoff valve (5).
(2) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to open the potable-water shutoff valve (5).
(3) Put a COVER - BLANKING in the suction port of the toilet bowl.
(4) Remove the coupling clamp (7).

(8) Remove the anti-syphon valve (4).
(9) Remove and discard the O-ring (1).

(11) If you use the removed parts again, clean and disinfect them (Ref. AMM TASK 38-30-00-510-001).
A. Removal of the Anti-Syphon Valve
(1) Close the potable-water shutoff valve (4).
(2) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to open the potable-water shutoff valve (4).
(3) Put a COVER - BLANKING in the suction port of the toilet bowl.
(4) Remove the nuts (3) and the washers (2).
(5) Remove the anti-syphon valve (1).
(6) Remove and discard the O-ring (5).
(7) Put the PLUG-BLANKING in each disconnected line end.
(8) If you use the removed parts again, clean and disinfect them (Ref. AMM TASK 38-30-00-510-001).
Subtask 38-31-56-020-050-I ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Close the potable-water shutoff valve (4).
(2) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to open the potable-water shutoff valve (4).
(3) Put a COVER - BLANKING in the suction port of the toilet bowl.
(4) Remove the nuts (3) and the washers (2).
(5) Remove the anti-syphon valve (1).
(6) Remove and discard the O-ring (5).
(7) Put the PLUG-BLANKING in each disconnected line end.
(8) If you use the removed parts again, clean and disinfect them (Ref. AMM TASK 38-30-00-510-001).
A. Removal of the Anti-Syphon Valve
(1) Close the potable-water shutoff valve (3).
(2) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to open the potable-water shutoff valve (3).
(3) Put the COVER - BLANKING in the suction port of the toilet bowl.
(4) Push the fitting (7) and disconnect the tube (2) from the anti-syphon valve (4).
(5) Unlock the quick-release clamp (8) and remove it from the anti-syphon valve (4).
(6) Remove the nuts (10), the screws (6) and the washers (5).
(7) Remove the packing (11) and discard it.
(8) Remove the anti-syphon valve (4).
(9) Remove the packing (9) and discard it.
(10) Put the PLUG-BLANKING in each disconnected line end.
(11) If you use the removed parts again, clean them with disinfectant (Ref. AMM TASK 38-30-00-510-001).
(1) Close the potable-water shutoff valve (3).
(2) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to open the potable-water shutoff valve (3).
(3) Put the COVER - BLANKING in the suction port of the toilet bowl.
(4) Push the fitting (7) and disconnect the tube (2) from the anti-syphon valve (4).
(5) Unlock the quick-release clamp (8) and remove it from the anti-syphon valve (4).
(6) Remove the nuts (10), the screws (6) and the washers (5).
(7) Remove the packing (11) and discard it.
(8) Remove the anti-syphon valve (4).
(9) Remove the packing (9) and discard it.
(10) Put the PLUG-BLANKING in each disconnected line end.
(11) If you use the removed parts again, clean them with disinfectant (Ref. AMM TASK 38-30-00-510-001).
