Subtask 33-48-00-941-055-A
A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Make sure that the strobe lights operate correctly (Ref. AMM TASK 33-48-00-710-002).
   (2) For the upper anti-collision light:
  • Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 6M (20 FT) in position at the upper anti-collision light.
   (3) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to operate the anti-collision lights.

Subtask 33-48-00-210-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
C. Check of the Lens
   (1) If the lens of the anti-collision light is only cracked and does not present a risk of loss of glass, you can apply adhesive film tape on the lens. Go to Para.4 A.
   (2) If the lens of the anti-collision light is broken and present a risk of loss of glass, you must remove the lens and reflector of the anti-collision light. Go to Para.4 B.
Subtask 33-48-00-210-050-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
C. Check of the Lens
   (1) If the lens of the anti-collision light has only cracks and there is no risk of loss of glass, you can apply adhesive film tape on the lens. Go to Para.4 A.
   (2) If the lens of the anti-collision light is broken and there is a risk of loss of glass, you must replace the lens (Ref. AMM TASK 33-48-00-960-801).
4. Procedure
Subtask 33-48-00-040-051-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Installation of Adhesive Film Tape on the Anti-Collision Light
F Anti-Collision (Beacon) Lights ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
   (1) Clean the surface of the fuselage (8) around the anti-collision light with a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) made moist with a warm soap solution.
   (2) Make sure that no liquid goes into the inside of the anti-collision light.
   (3) Dry the surface of the fuselage (8) with a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
   (4) Apply the Adhesive Film Tape-- Aluminium Foil - Sound damping - (Material No.05RAC1) on the top of the lens (23) and the adjacent area of the fuselage (8).
   (5) Make sure that the adhesive film tape is installed correctly. The adhesive film tape must seal all of the opening for the anti-collision light.
   (6) Put an applicable placard in position in the cockpit (refer to your standard practices and local regulations).
   (7) Write in the aircraft technical log that the anti-collision light has a temporary repair.
Subtask 33-48-00-040-051-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Installation of Adhesive Film Tape on the LED Anti-Collision Light
   (1) Clean the surface of the fuselage around the anti-collision light with a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) made moist with a warm soap solution.
   (2) Make sure that no liquid goes into the anti-collision light.
   (3) Dry the surface of the fuselage with a dry Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
   (4) Apply the Adhesive Film Tape-- Aluminium Foil - Sound damping - (Material No.05RAC1) on the top of the lens and the adjacent area of the fuselage.
   (5) Make sure that the adhesive film tape is installed correctly. The adhesive film tape must fully seal the opening of the anti-collision light.
   (6) Put an applicable placard in position in the cockpit (refer to your standard practices and local regulations).
   (7) Write in the aircraft technical log that the anti-collision light has a temporary repair.
Subtask 33-48-00-040-050-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
B. Deactivation of the Anti-Collision Lights
F Anti-Collision (Beacon) Lights ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
CAUTION: DO NOT TOUCH THE LAMP GLASS WITH YOUR FINGERS. THE OILS FROM YOUR SKIN WILL QUICKLY CAUSE DETERIORATION OF THE LAMP. IF YOU ACCIDENTALLY TOUCH THE LAMP GLASS, CLEAN IT WITH A LINT-FREE CLOTH.
   (1) Remove the countersunk screws (1) from the lens (23) (Ref. AMM TASK 33-48-11-000-001) or (Ref. AMM TASK 33-48-12-000-001).
NOTE: Make match marks on the screws (1) and/or their positions to help with the installation procedure (different screw sizes).
   (2) Remove and discard the remaining part of the lens (23) and the seal (22) or (32).
   (3) Remove the screws (2) from the flash tube assy (21).
   (4) Remove the countersunk screws (3) from the housing (15).
   (5) Lift the housing (15) sufficiently to get access to the plate (4).
   (6) Remove the screws (5) from the plate (4).
   (7) Remove the plate (4) from the housing (15).
   (8) Remove the screw (6) from the transformer (7).
   (9) Remove the transformer (7) from the housing (15).
   (10) Support the transformer (7) and disconnect the electrical connectors (17) from the transformer (7).
NOTE: Put identification labels on the electrical leads. This will help you to install the electrical connectors (17) again.
   (11) Carefully remove the flash tube assy (21) from the housing (15).
NOTE: Remove only the flash tube assy (21) and not the light assembly.
   (12) Install the transformer (7) in the housing (15) with the screw (6).
   (13) Install the plate (4) on the housing (15) with the screws (5).
   (14) Install the housing (15) and the seal (14) or (34) on the flange (10) with the countersunk screws (3).
   (15) Make and install a cover for the cable hole in the housing (15) from the Adhesive Film Tape-- Aluminium Foil - Sound damping - (Material No.05RAC1) .
   (16) Clean the surface of the fuselage (8) around the anti-collision light with a lint-free cotton cloth, Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) made moist with a warm soap solution.
   (17) Make sure that no liquid goes into the inside of the housing (15).
   (18) Dry the surface with a dry lint-free cotton cloth, Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
   (19) Apply the Adhesive Film Tape-- Aluminium Foil - Sound damping - (Material No.05RAC1) on the top of the housing (15) and the adjacent area of the fuselage (8).
NOTE: Do not cover the removed flash tube assy (21) with adhesive film tape.
   (20) Make sure that the adhesive film tape is installed correctly. The adhesive film tape must seal all of the opening for the anti-collision light.
   (21) Put an applicable placard in position in the cockpit (refer to your standard practices and local regulations).

C. Make sure that this(these) circuit breaker(s) is(are) open, safetied and tagged:
