MAKE SURE THAT THE GROUND SAFETY-LOCKS ARE IN POSITION ON THE LANDING GEAR. THIS WILL PREVENT UNWANTED MOVEMENT OF THE LANDING GEAR, AND THUS POSSIBLE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT AND/OR EQUIPMENT.

MAKE SURE THAT THE TRAVEL RANGES OF THE FLIGHT CONTROLS SURFACES ARE CLEAR. MOVEMENT OF FLIGHT CONTROLS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND/OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.

A. Safety Precautions
(1) In the cockpit, on the center pedestal, make sure that the free-fall extension handle of the landing gear is in the normal position.
(2) In the cockpit, on the panel 400VU, put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to operate the landing gear control lever.
(3) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to pressurize the Green hydraulic system:

(3) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to pressurize the Green hydraulic system:
- on the panel 40VU,
- on the ground service panel of the Green hydraulic system, access door 197CB.
- on the brake pedals,
- on the nose wheel steering handwheels (18VU, 19VU).
(6) Put the SAFETY BARRIER(S) in position.
B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure that the Green hydraulic system is depressurized and put it in the maintenance configuration (Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-864-001).
(2) Depressurize the reservoir of the Green hydraulic system (Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-001).
Subtask 32-51-43-941-052-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Make sure that the Green hydraulic system is depressurized and put it in the maintenance configuration (Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-864-001).
(2) Depressurize the reservoir of the Green hydraulic system (Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-001).

- on the panel 40VU,
- on the ground service panel of the Yellow hydraulic system, access door 196BB.
- on the brake pedals,
- on the nose wheel steering handwheels (18VU, 19VU).
(6) Put the SAFETY BARRIER(S) in position.
D. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure that the Yellow hydraulic system is depressurized and put it in the maintenance configuration (Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-864-001).
(2) Depressurize the reservoir of the Yellow hydraulic system (Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-001).
4. Procedure(1) Make sure that the Yellow hydraulic system is depressurized and put it in the maintenance configuration (Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-864-001).
(2) Depressurize the reservoir of the Yellow hydraulic system (Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-001).
Subtask 32-51-43-020-050-A
A. Removal of the Anti-Shimmy Valve
(2) Put PLUG - BLANKING on the disconnected line ends.
(3) Remove the nut (3) and lock washer (2), and discard the lock washer (2).
(4) Remove the anti-shimmy valve (8).
(5) Remove the rings (5) and (7) and the seals (6).
(6) Discard the seals (6).
(7) Discard the rings (5) and (7).
NOTE: The removal procedure is the same for the front and rear valves.
(1) Disconnect the hydraulic coupling (4) and drain the hydraulic fluid. (2) Put PLUG - BLANKING on the disconnected line ends.
(3) Remove the nut (3) and lock washer (2), and discard the lock washer (2).
(4) Remove the anti-shimmy valve (8).
(5) Remove the rings (5) and (7) and the seals (6).
(6) Discard the seals (6).
(7) Discard the rings (5) and (7).
