Installation of the Check Valve

WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT ALL THE CIRCUITS IN MAINTENANCE ARE ISOLATED BEFORE YOU SUPPLY ELECTRICAL POWER TO THE AIRCRAFT. UNWANTED ELECTRICAL POWER CAN BE DANGEROUS.
WARNING:
PUT THE SAFETY DEVICES AND THE WARNING NOTICES IN POSITION BEFORE YOU START A TASK ON OR NEAR:
- THE FLIGHT CONTROLS
- THE FLIGHT CONTROL SURFACES

A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(2) Make sure that the FWC cargo door is open (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001).
(3) Make sure the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) is in position.
(4) Make sure that the Yellow hydraulic system is depressurized (Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-864-002):
(5) Make sure that the PTU isolation coupling is disconnected (Ref. AMM TASK 29-23-00-860-001).
(6) Make sure that a WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to pressurize the Yellow hydraulic system:
(8) Make sure that the CONTAINER 5 L (1.32 USGAL) is in position below the safety valve.
Subtask 32-51-22-865-051-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL WARNING:
OBEY THE HYDRAULIC SAFETY PROCEDURES.
(1) Obey the hydraulic safety procedures (Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-910-002). (2) Make sure that the FWC cargo door is open (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001).
(3) Make sure the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) is in position.
(4) Make sure that the Yellow hydraulic system is depressurized (Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-864-002):
(5) Make sure that the PTU isolation coupling is disconnected (Ref. AMM TASK 29-23-00-860-001).
(6) Make sure that a WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to pressurize the Yellow hydraulic system:
- on the panel 40VU in the cockpit
- on the ground service panel of the Yellow hydraulic system.
(8) Make sure that the CONTAINER 5 L (1.32 USGAL) is in position below the safety valve.
B. Make sure that this(these) circuit breaker(s) is(are) open, safetied and tagged:

A. Preparation of the Replacement Component
(1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(3) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.
(4) Remove the PLUG-BLANKING from each disconnected line end.
(b) Apply Phosphate Ester Hydraulic Fluid-General Power - - (Material No.02ABA1) to the threads of the check valve (3) and the coupling nuts (1) and (4).
Subtask 32-51-22-420-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(3) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.

B. Installation of the Check Valve 2902GM
Check Valve 2902GM on Frame 34 ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
Check Valve 2902GM on Frame 30 ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
(2) Put the check valve (3) in the correct position.
(3) Tighten the coupling nuts (1) and (2).
(4) TORQUE the coupling nuts (2) and (4) to between 3.2 and 2.9 m.daN (23.60 and 21.39 lbf.ft )
.
(5) Tighten the two screws (1).

(1) Obey the hydraulic safety procedures (Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-910-002)(2) Put the check valve (3) in the correct position.
(3) Tighten the coupling nuts (1) and (2).
(4) TORQUE the coupling nuts (2) and (4) to between 3.2 and 2.9 m.daN (23.60 and 21.39 lbf.ft )
. (5) Tighten the two screws (1).
C. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):

D. Test
(1) Do a functional test of the nose wheel steering (Ref. AMM TASK 32-51-00-720-003).
(2) Make sure that there is no hydraulic fluid leakage from the safety valve .
5. Close-up(1) Do a functional test of the nose wheel steering (Ref. AMM TASK 32-51-00-720-003).
(2) Make sure that there is no hydraulic fluid leakage from the safety valve .
NOTE: Leaks are not permitted.
Subtask 32-51-22-410-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Close Access
(1) Remove the container.
(2) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(3) Close the panel 131CC.
(4) Remove the access platform(s).
(5) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(6) Close the right FWC cargo door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-002).
(7) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
Subtask 32-51-22-410-050-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Remove the container.
(2) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(3) Close the panel 131CC.
(4) Remove the access platform(s).
(5) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(6) Close the right FWC cargo door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-002).
(7) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
A. Close Access
(1) Remove the container.
(2) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(3) Close the panel 131BC.
(4) Remove the access platform(s).
(5) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(6) Close the right FWC cargo door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-002).
(7) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
(1) Remove the container.
(2) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(3) Close the panel 131BC.
(4) Remove the access platform(s).
(5) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(6) Close the right FWC cargo door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-002).
(7) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
