3. Job Set-up
Subtask 32-11-00-941-089-A
A. Safety Precautions
   (1) As necessary, use the applicable SAFETY BARRIERS, specified by the operator's instructions and your local regulations.
   (2) Make sure that the ground safety locks are on the landing gears (Ref. AMM TASK 32-00-00-481-001).
   (3) On panel 400VU:
  • make sure that the landing-gear control-lever 6GA is in the DOWN position
  • put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to operate the landing gear.
   (4) On the panel 110VU, make sure that the GRAVITY GEAR EXT handle is folded into the center console.
   (5) Make sure that the Green Hydraulic system is depressurized (Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-864-001).

B. Get Access
   (1) Open the landing gear doors (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-010-001).
   (2) Install the safety devices on the landing gear doors (Ref. AMM TASK 32-00-00-481-002).
   (3) For the MLG, put an ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT) below the applicable zone(s) 734(744).

C. Clean the Inspection Area
WARNING: BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU USE CONSUMABLE MATERIALS. OBEY THE MATERIAL MANUFACTURER'S INSTRUCTIONS AND YOUR LOCAL REGULATIONS.
   (1) Use a clean lint-free cotton cloth Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) made moist with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) to clean the areas of inspection.
4. Procedure
Subtask 32-11-00-210-078-A
A. Detailed Inspection of the MLG Retraction Actuator - External Surfaces Except Where Covered by Dressings and Bush Flanges
   (1) Make sure that all the components are correctly installed, safetied and there are no signs of wear.
   (2) Make sure that all safety devices:
  • cotter pins, tab washers and lockwire are correctly installed and serviceable.
   (3) Examine all lubrication points to make sure that they are serviceable and clean.
   (4) Examine the protective finish on the surface of the MLG Retraction Actuator and its components for damage.
   (5) If the protective finish or primer layers are damaged, do a repair (Ref. AMM TASK 32-11-00-300-001).
5. Close-up
Subtask 32-11-00-410-075-A
A. Close Access
   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (2) Remove the safety devices from the landing gear doors (Ref. AMM TASK 32-00-00-081-002).
   (3) Remove the access platform(s).
   (4) Close the landing gear doors (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-410-001).

B. Removal of Equipment
   (1) Remove the SAFETY BARRIER(S).
   (2) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
   (3) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
