C. Get Access
(1) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) in position at forward cargo-compartment door 825.
(2) Open forward cargo-compartment door 825 (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001).
(3) Set cargo-compartment light switch 6LU is set to ON.
(4) Remove sidewall panels and floor panels

4. Procedure(1) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) in position at forward cargo-compartment door 825.
(2) Open forward cargo-compartment door 825 (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001).
(3) Set cargo-compartment light switch 6LU is set to ON.
(4) Remove sidewall panels and floor panels

A. Removal of the Heater Element
(1) Remove and discard the cable ties of the identification and warning labels.
(2) Remove the clamps (10) and the spacers (11).
(3) Remove the velcro tape (3), the adhesive tape and the insulation muffs (8).
(4) Carefully remove and discard the adhesive tape (2) which is on the longitudinal cut of the insulation sleeve (1).
(5) Remove the insulation sleeve (1) that insulates the waste water line.
(6) Disconnect the three wires of the heater elements (4) and (5) from the terminal strip.
(8) Remove and discard the heat-shrink sleve (7) and the glass fiber tape (6) that attaches the heater elements (4) and (5) to the waste water line.
(1) Remove and discard the cable ties of the identification and warning labels.
(2) Remove the clamps (10) and the spacers (11).
(3) Remove the velcro tape (3), the adhesive tape and the insulation muffs (8).
(4) Carefully remove and discard the adhesive tape (2) which is on the longitudinal cut of the insulation sleeve (1).
(5) Remove the insulation sleeve (1) that insulates the waste water line.
(6) Disconnect the three wires of the heater elements (4) and (5) from the terminal strip.
NOTE: Identify all the electrical wires before you disconnect them.
(7) Remove the waste-water de-icing sensor (40DU) (Ref. AMM TASK 30-71-17-000-001). (8) Remove and discard the heat-shrink sleve (7) and the glass fiber tape (6) that attaches the heater elements (4) and (5) to the waste water line.
NOTE: Do not damage the waste water line when you remove the heat-shrink sleeve.
(9) Remove the heater elements (4) and (5).
