Installation of the Rain-Repellent Check Valve

WARNING:
BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU USE CONSUMABLE MATERIALS. OBEY THE MATERIAL MANUFACTURER'S INSTRUCTIONS AND YOUR LOCAL REGULATIONS.
WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE CIRCUIT BREAKERS RELATED TO THE WEATHER RADAR ARE OPENED, SAFETIED AND TAGGED.
CAUTION:
MAKE SURE THAT THE FLUID DOES NOT STAY ON THE AIRCRAFT STRUCTURE. IF THE FLUID GETS ON THE AIRCRAFT STRUCTURE, WASH IT OFF IMMEDIATELY WITH SOAP AND WATER.
NOTE: If there is leakage of FORALKYL 2211, you can smell a pine odor.

A. Cleaning Instructions
(1) Make sure that the fluid does not stay on the aircraft furnishings.
If the fluid gets on the aircraft furnishings, clean with Non Aqueous Cleaner-- Isopropyl Alcohol - (Material No.08BBD1) .

C. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure that the rain-repellent fluid can is removed (Ref. AMM TASK 30-45-00-600-001).
(2) Make sure that the four quarter-turn fasteners are loosened and that the panel 211LW is removed.

Subtask 30-45-46-420-051-A
A. Installation of the Check Valve
(1) Examine the condition of the check valve (1):
(a) If the check valve (1) is not in a good condition, replace it with a new AIPC 30-45-01-02-150 CHECK VALVE (1) or AIPC 30-45-81-02-150 CHECK VALVE (1).
(2) Install a new AIPC 30-45-01-02-130 O-RING (4) or AIPC 30-45-81-02-040 O-RING (4) on the union (2).
(3) Install the union (2) on the check valve (1).
(4) Install a new AIPC 30-45-01-02-155 O-RING (5) or AIPC 30-45-81-02-160 O-RING (5) on the mounting base (6) of the spray nozzle.
(5) Install the check valve (1) on the mounting base (6) of the spray nozzle.
(6) Hold the mounting base (6) of the spray nozzle and tighten the check valve (1).
(7) Connect the line (3) to the union (2).
(8) Tighten the union (2).

(a) If the check valve (1) is not in a good condition, replace it with a new AIPC 30-45-01-02-150 CHECK VALVE (1) or AIPC 30-45-81-02-150 CHECK VALVE (1).
(2) Install a new AIPC 30-45-01-02-130 O-RING (4) or AIPC 30-45-81-02-040 O-RING (4) on the union (2).
(3) Install the union (2) on the check valve (1).
(4) Install a new AIPC 30-45-01-02-155 O-RING (5) or AIPC 30-45-81-02-160 O-RING (5) on the mounting base (6) of the spray nozzle.
(5) Install the check valve (1) on the mounting base (6) of the spray nozzle.
(6) Hold the mounting base (6) of the spray nozzle and tighten the check valve (1).
(7) Connect the line (3) to the union (2).
(8) Tighten the union (2).
C. Pressurization of the System
(1) Push the purge pushbutton of the fluid gage to pressurize the system until the fluid is in its maximum level.
(2) Make sure that the needle of the pressure gage is in the green area.

D. Close-up operation
(1) Disconnect the hose from the drain valve.
(2) Install the protective cap on the drain valve.

(2) Install the panel 211LW.
(3) Tighten the four quarter-turn fasteners.
