WARNING:
THE RAIN REPELLENT FLUID GAGE IS CONSIDERED AS AN ASSEMBLY. THE COMPONENTS OF THIS ASSEMBLY, ESPECIALLY THE PRESSURE GAGE, MUST NOT BE REPLACED ON AIRCRAFT.
WARNING:
BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU USE CONSUMABLE MATERIALS. OBEY THE MATERIAL MANUFACTURER'S INSTRUCTIONS AND YOUR LOCAL REGULATIONS.
CAUTION:
MAKE SURE THAT THE FLUID DOES NOT STAY ON THE AIRCRAFT STRUCTURE. IF THE FLUID GETS ON THE AIRCRAFT STRUCTURE, WASH IT OFF IMMEDIATELY WITH SOAP AND WATER.
NOTE: If there is leakage of FORALKYL 2211, you can smell a pine odor.

A. Cleaning Instructions
(1) Make sure that the fluid does not stay on the aircraft furnishings.
If the fluid gets on the aircraft furnishings, clean with Non Aqueous Cleaner-- Isopropyl Alcohol - (Material No.08BBD1) .

B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure that the ground service network is energized
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-861-001).
(2) On the overhead control and indicating panels 21VU and 22VU:

- Make sure that the warning notices are in position to tell persons not to operate the RAIN RPLNT pushbutton switches.

A. Installation of the Rain-Repellent Fluid Gage Assy
(1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(3) Install the rain-repellent fluid gage assy (6) between the brackets.
(4) Install the screws (2), (3), (10) and (11) with the washers (1), (4), (12) and (13) and tighten them.
(5) Remove the PLUG-BLANKING from each disconnected line end.
(6) Install a new AIPC 30-45-01-06-050 PACKING (7) or AIPC 30-45-81-06-040 PACKING (7) with the union (8).
(7) Install the line (9).

(3) Install the rain-repellent fluid gage assy (6) between the brackets.
(4) Install the screws (2), (3), (10) and (11) with the washers (1), (4), (12) and (13) and tighten them.
(5) Remove the PLUG-BLANKING from each disconnected line end.
(6) Install a new AIPC 30-45-01-06-050 PACKING (7) or AIPC 30-45-81-06-040 PACKING (7) with the union (8).
(7) Install the line (9).
B. Installation of the Rain-Repellent Fluid Can
(1) Install a new AIPC 30-45-01-06-027 SEAL (17) or AIPC 30-45-81-06-060 SEAL (17).
(2) Put a new AIPC 30-45-01-06-020 RAIN-REPELLENT FLUID CAN (16) or AIPC 30-45-81-06-080 RAIN-REPELLENT FLUID CAN (16) in position and tighten it manually.
(3) Install the clamp (15) around the bracket assy and the can.
(4) Torquing of the clamp (15):
(5) Remove the protective cap from the drain valve (14).
(6) Connect the hose to the drain valve (14) of the rain-repellent fluid gage assy (6).
(7) Put the hose outlet in the container.
Subtask 30-45-43-210-051-A (1) Install a new AIPC 30-45-01-06-027 SEAL (17) or AIPC 30-45-81-06-060 SEAL (17).
(2) Put a new AIPC 30-45-01-06-020 RAIN-REPELLENT FLUID CAN (16) or AIPC 30-45-81-06-080 RAIN-REPELLENT FLUID CAN (16) in position and tighten it manually.
NOTE: The assembly instructions are given on a caution plate near the can and on the can.
(3) Install the clamp (15) around the bracket assy and the can.
(4) Torquing of the clamp (15):
CAUTION:
DO NOT TORQUE THE RETAINING COLLAR SCREW OF THE CLAMP TO MORE THAN ITS MAXIMUM TORQUE VALUE OF 0.2 M.DAN (17.70 LBF.IN). IF YOU DO, YOU CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE CAN.
(a) Do not torque the retaining collar screw of the clamp (15) more than 0.2 m.daN (17.70 lbf.in). (5) Remove the protective cap from the drain valve (14).
(6) Connect the hose to the drain valve (14) of the rain-repellent fluid gage assy (6).
(7) Put the hose outlet in the container.
C. Inspection/Check
(1) Push the purge pushbutton (5) to pressurize the system until the fluid is in its maximum level.
(2) Make sure that the needle of the pressure gage is in the green area.
(3) Make sure that there are no leaks.

D. Close-up operation
(1) Disconnect the hose from the drain valve (14).

(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(3) Close the access door of the rain-repellent fluid gage assy (6).
