A. Safety Precautions
   (1) On the center pedestal, on ENG panel 115VU:
     (a) Make sure that the ENG/MODE selector switch is in the NORM position.
     (b) Make sure that the ENG/MASTER 1(2) control switch was in the OFF position not less than five minutes before you do this procedure.
     (c) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) are in position to tell persons not to operate:
  • The ENG/MODE selector switch, and
  • The ENG/MASTER 1(2) control switch.
   (2) On the ENG section of maintenance panel 50VU:
     (a) Make sure that the ON legend of the FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
     (b) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to energize FADEC 1(2).

   (1) Make sure that the fan cowl doors are open (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-803):
     (a) FOR [4020KM1] (POWER PLANT-DEMOUNTABLE, ENGINE 1)

4. Procedure
Subtask 30-21-49-420-096-A
A. Installation of the Seal and V-Band at Nacelle Inlet Aft Bulk Interface.
   (1) Remove all COVER - PROTECTION and CAP - PROTECTION from openings, tubes, hoses, and connectors.
   (2) Lubricate the threads of the two bolts (9) with LUBRICATING OIL TURBINE ENGINE SYNT BASE (Material No.CPNCL00062) .
   (3) Install the anti-ice duct section (7) as follows:
     (a) Install the E-seal (2) in the inlet (5).
     (b) Put the anti-ice duct section (7) in position against the inlet (5) connection.
     (c) Install the two bolts (9) to attach the bracket on the anti-ice duct section (7) to the support bracket (8).
     (d) TORQUE the two bolts (9) to between 1.43 and 1.23 m.daN (126.55 and 108.85 lbf.in ) T.
     (e) Install the V-band clamp (3) to connect the anti-ice duct section (7) to the inlet (5) connector as follows:
       1 Loosely assemble the V-band clamp (3) around the flanges of the anti-ice duct section (7) and the inlet (5).
       2 TORQUE the nut on the V-band clamp (3) to between 1.40 and 1.30 m.daN (123.89 and 115.04 lbf.in )
T.
       3 Light tap around the outer diameter of the V-band clamp (3) with a MALLET - PLASTIC. Do not hit the latch mechanism on the V-band clamp.
       4 TORQUE the nut on the V-band clamp (3) to between 1.40 and 1.30 m.daN (123.89 and 115.04 lbf.in )
T again.
     (f) Install the insulation boot (4) on the inlet (5) and the anti-ice duct section (7).
     (g) Install the two new
EIPC 30-00-00-00-000 COUPLING BANDS (6) to attach the insulation boot (4) to the inlet (5) and the anti-ice duct section (7).
     (h) Put the indicating tube (1) in position on the anti-ice duct section (7).
     (i) Connect the coupling nut on the indicating tube (1) to the anti-ice duct section.
     (j) TORQUE the coupling nut that connects the indicating tube (1) to the anti-ice duct section (7) to between 3.48 and 2.96 m.daN (25.66 and 21.83 lbf.ft )
