A. Energize the ground service network
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-861-001).

B. Safety Precautions
   (1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU:
     (a) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to start the engine.
   (2) Make sure that the engine 1(2) shutdown occurred not less than 5 minutes before you do this procedure.
   (3) On the ENG section of the maintenance panel 50VU:
     (a) Make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
     (b) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to energize the FADEC system 1(2).

C. Get Access
   (1) Open the fan cowl doors (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-040):
     (a) FOR [1000EM1] (ENGINE-1)

     (b) FOR [1000EM2] (ENGINE-2)

   (2) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 1M (3 FT)-ADJUSTABLE in position.

D. Make the thrust reverser unserviceable (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-481-041).

E. Open the right thrust reverser door (Ref. AMM TASK 78-36-00-010-040):

4. Procedure
Subtask 30-21-49-020-064-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Removal of the Anti-ice Ducts
   (1) Disconnect the hose (10) from the tube (15) and from the engine air intake anti-ice valve 4000DN (5).
F Anti-ice Ducts ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
NOTE: Use a second wrench to hold the union on the valve and the fitting on the tube when you loosen the coupling nuts on the hose.
   (2) Remove the hose (10) from the engine.
   (3) Disconnect the hose (35) from the tube (15).
NOTE: Use a second wrench to hold the fitting on the tube when you loosen the coupling nut on the hose.
   (4) Remove the bolts (55), the washers (60) and the nuts (65) that connect the support links to the bracket of the forward anti-ice duct (80).
   (5) Remove the couplings (70) and the seals (75) that attach the forward anti-ice duct (80) to the rear anti-ice duct (85) and to the anti-ice valve 4000DN (5).
   (6) Remove the forward anti-ice duct (80), with the tube (15) attached, from the engine.
   (7) Remove the nut (120) and the washer (125) that attach the tube (15) to the support bracket of the forward anti-ice duct (80).
   (8) Remove the bolts (20), the washers (25), and the nuts (30) from the lugs on the forward anti-ice duct (80).
   (9) Remove the tube (15) from the forward anti-ice duct (80).
   (10) Disconnect the hose (35) from the tube (40).
NOTE: Use a second wrench to hold the fitting on the tube when you loosen the coupling nut on the hose.
   (11) Remove the hose (35) from the engine.
   (12) Remove the bolts (20), the washers (25), the nuts (30), and the clamps (45) that attach the tube (40) to the engine brackets and the tube fairlead.
   (13) Disconnect the coupling of the tube (40) from the union.

NOTE: Use a second wrench to hold the union on the fireshield when you loosen the coupling nut on the tube.
   (14) Remove the tube (40) from the engine.
   (15) Disconnect the tube (50) from the union and the lower high-pressure manifold duct
F Anti-ice Ducts ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
NOTE: Use a second wrench to hold the union on the fireshield and the union on the pneumatic duct when you loosen the coupling nuts on the tube.
   (16) Remove the tube (50) from the engine.
   (17) Install the PLUG - BLANKING on the ducts, the hose, and tube assemblies, and the open engine port.
