Removal of the Engine 2 Hydraulic Pressure-Hose
WARNING:
OBEY THE HYDRAULIC SAFETY PROCEDURES.
WARNING:
DO NOT TOUCH THE HYDRAULIC SYSTEM COMPONENTS FOR A SHORT TIME AFTER THE ENGINE IS SHUTDOWN. THE ENGINE COMPONENTS STAY HOT FOR SOME TIME AND CAN CAUSE INJURY.
CAUTION:
DO NOT LET HYDRAULIC FLUID FALL ON THE ENGINE. UNWANTED HYDRAULIC FLUID MUST BE REMOVED IMMEDIATELY WITH A CLEAN LINT FREE CLOTH. THE FLUID CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE SURFACE PROTECTION AND TO SOME PARTS.

Subtask 29-13-49-860-065-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure that the Yellow hydraulic system is depressurized and put it in the maintenance configuration.
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-864-002)
(2) Depressurize the Yellow hydraulic reservoir (Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-001).
(3) Put WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to pressurize the Yellow hydraulic system:
Subtask 29-13-49-941-058-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Make sure that the Yellow hydraulic system is depressurized and put it in the maintenance configuration.

(2) Depressurize the Yellow hydraulic reservoir (Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-001).
(3) Put WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to pressurize the Yellow hydraulic system:
- on the ground service panel 198CB.
B. Safety Precautions
(1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU:

(6) Put a CONTAINER 5 L (1.32 USGAL) below the connection between the pressure hose (2) and the fluid disconnect panel (4) to collect the remaining fluid.
Subtask 29-13-49-010-058-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU:
- put WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to start the engine.
(3) Put WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to pressurize the Yellow hydraulic system:
- in the cockpit, on the HYD section of the overhead panel 40VU.
- make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
(6) Put a CONTAINER 5 L (1.32 USGAL) below the connection between the pressure hose (2) and the fluid disconnect panel (4) to collect the remaining fluid.
C. Get Access
(1) Open the left fan-cowl door 447AL (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-040).
(2) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE in position at the engine.
4. Procedure(1) Open the left fan-cowl door 447AL (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-040).
(2) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE in position at the engine.
Subtask 29-13-49-020-060-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Removal of the Hydraulic Pressure-Hose
(1) Put a CONTAINER 5 L (1.32 USGAL) below the hose (55) connection to the fluid disconnect panel to collect the remaining fluid.
(2) Disconnect the hose (55) from the fluid disconnect panel.
(3) Put COVER - BLANKING on the disconnected hose (55) coupling and the fluid disconnect panel.
(4) Put a CONTAINER 5 L (1.32 USGAL) below the hose (55) connection to the hydraulic pump to catch the remaining fluid.
(5) Disconnect the hose (55) from the hydraulic pump union.
(6) Put blanking covers on the disconnected hose (55) coupling and the hydraulic pump union.
(7) Put a CONTAINER 5 L (1.32 USGAL) below the low-pressure switch-tube (60) connection to the hose (55) to collect the remaining fluid.
(8) Disconnect the tube (60) from the hose (55) tee-fitting.
(9) Put blanking covers on the disconnected tube (60) coupling and the hose (55) tee-fitting.
(10) Remove the nut (10), the washer (15), the bolt (20), and the clamp band (25) from the center mount-clamp.
(11) Disconnect the hose (55) from the center mount-clamp insert (30).
(13) Remove the nut (45), the washer (50), the screw (35) and the clamp (65).
These items attach the hose (55) to the upper support-bracket.
(14) Remove the nuts (45), the washers (50), the screws (35), and the clamps (65). These items attach the hose (55) to the upper and the lower mid support-brackets.
(15) Remove the hose (55).
(1) Put a CONTAINER 5 L (1.32 USGAL) below the hose (55) connection to the fluid disconnect panel to collect the remaining fluid.
(2) Disconnect the hose (55) from the fluid disconnect panel.
(3) Put COVER - BLANKING on the disconnected hose (55) coupling and the fluid disconnect panel.
(4) Put a CONTAINER 5 L (1.32 USGAL) below the hose (55) connection to the hydraulic pump to catch the remaining fluid.
(5) Disconnect the hose (55) from the hydraulic pump union.
(6) Put blanking covers on the disconnected hose (55) coupling and the hydraulic pump union.
(7) Put a CONTAINER 5 L (1.32 USGAL) below the low-pressure switch-tube (60) connection to the hose (55) to collect the remaining fluid.
(8) Disconnect the tube (60) from the hose (55) tee-fitting.
(9) Put blanking covers on the disconnected tube (60) coupling and the hose (55) tee-fitting.
(10) Remove the nut (10), the washer (15), the bolt (20), and the clamp band (25) from the center mount-clamp.
(11) Disconnect the hose (55) from the center mount-clamp insert (30).
CAUTION:
BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU REMOVE THE CLAMP. MAKE SURE THAT THE TWO HALF-CUSHIONS STAY ON EACH CLAMP.
(12) Remove the screw (35) and the clamp (65) that attaches the hose (55) to the filter support-bracket. (13) Remove the nut (45), the washer (50), the screw (35) and the clamp (65).
These items attach the hose (55) to the upper support-bracket.
(14) Remove the nuts (45), the washers (50), the screws (35), and the clamps (65). These items attach the hose (55) to the upper and the lower mid support-brackets.
(15) Remove the hose (55).
