B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(2) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to pressurize the Yellow hydraulic system:
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-864-001).
(4) Depressurize the reservoir of the Yellow hydraulic system (Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-001).
(5) Open the main gear doors (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-010-001).
(6) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position at the main gear doors.
(7) Put a CONTAINER 4 L (1 USGAL) below the PTU manifold of the Yellow hydraulic system to collect unwanted hydraulic fluid.
(8) Disconnect the isolation coupling of the Power Transfer Unit (PTU) (Ref. AMM TASK 29-23-00-860-001).
4. ProcedureWARNING:
OBEY THE HYDRAULIC SAFETY PROCEDURES.
(1) Obey the hydraulic safety procedures (Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-910-002). (2) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to pressurize the Yellow hydraulic system:
- in the cockpit on the hydraulic section 40VU of the overhead panel
- on the ground service panel of the Yellow hydraulic system.
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-864-001).
(4) Depressurize the reservoir of the Yellow hydraulic system (Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-001).
(5) Open the main gear doors (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-010-001).
(6) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position at the main gear doors.
(7) Put a CONTAINER 4 L (1 USGAL) below the PTU manifold of the Yellow hydraulic system to collect unwanted hydraulic fluid.
(8) Disconnect the isolation coupling of the Power Transfer Unit (PTU) (Ref. AMM TASK 29-23-00-860-001).

A. Removal of the PTU Manifold
(2) Put the CAP-BLANKING on each disconnected electrical connector and receptacle.
(3) Loosen the pipe end-fitting (4) and disconnect the pipe (3) from the reducer (5).
(4) Loosen the pipe end-fitting (22) and disconnect the pipe (21) from the check valve 3093GM.
(5) Loosen the pipe end-fitting (49) and disconnect the pipe (48) from the union (50).
(6) Loosen the pipe end-fitting (12) and disconnect the pipe (11) from the union (13).
(7) If the bolts (1) are safetied with lockwire:
(8) Hold the manifold (7) and remove the bolts (1) and washers (2).
(9) Remove the manifold (7) from the aircraft.
(10) Install a PLUG - BLANKING in all pipe connections and manifold ports.
CAUTION:
USE A SECOND WRENCH TO APPLY COUNTERTORQUE TO THE UNION WHEN YOU DISCONNECT/CONNECT HYDRAULIC LINES ON UNIONS. IF YOU DO NOT USE THE SECOND WRENCH, THERE IS A RISK THAT YOU WILL LOOSEN OR TIGHTEN THE UNION TOO MUCH.
(1) Disconnect the electrical connector (29) from the PTU solenoid valve. (2) Put the CAP-BLANKING on each disconnected electrical connector and receptacle.
(3) Loosen the pipe end-fitting (4) and disconnect the pipe (3) from the reducer (5).
(4) Loosen the pipe end-fitting (22) and disconnect the pipe (21) from the check valve 3093GM.
(5) Loosen the pipe end-fitting (49) and disconnect the pipe (48) from the union (50).
(6) Loosen the pipe end-fitting (12) and disconnect the pipe (11) from the union (13).
(7) If the bolts (1) are safetied with lockwire:
WARNING:
USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES AND GLOVES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL LOCKWIRE. EACH TIME YOU CUT LOCKWIRE, REMOVE AND DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. LOOSE LOCKWIRE CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND, AND/OR CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.
(a) Remove and discard the lockwire from the bolts (1) and the coupling half (46). (8) Hold the manifold (7) and remove the bolts (1) and washers (2).
(9) Remove the manifold (7) from the aircraft.
(10) Install a PLUG - BLANKING in all pipe connections and manifold ports.
