Removal of the HP Manifold of the Yellow Hydraulic System
WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE GROUND SAFETY-LOCKS ARE IN POSITION ON THE LANDING GEAR. THIS WILL PREVENT UNWANTED MOVEMENT OF THE LANDING GEAR, AND THUS POSSIBLE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT AND/OR EQUIPMENT.

B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(2) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to pressurize the Yellow hydraulic system:
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-864-001).
(4) Depressurize the reservoir of the Yellow hydraulic system (Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-001).
(5) Open the access door 198CB.
(6) Open the access door 196BB.
(7) Disconnect the isolation coupling of the power transfer unit (PTU) (Ref. AMM TASK 29-23-00-860-001).
(8) Put a CONTAINER 5 L (1.32 USGAL) below the HP manifold of the Yellow hydraulic system to collect hydraulic fluid.
4. ProcedureWARNING:
OBEY THE HYDRAULIC SAFETY PROCEDURES.
(1) Obey the hydraulic safety procedures (Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-910-002). (2) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to pressurize the Yellow hydraulic system:
- In the cockpit on the hydraulic section 40VU of the overhead panel
- On the ground service panel of the Yellow hydraulic system.
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-864-001).
(4) Depressurize the reservoir of the Yellow hydraulic system (Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-001).
(5) Open the access door 198CB.
(6) Open the access door 196BB.
(7) Disconnect the isolation coupling of the power transfer unit (PTU) (Ref. AMM TASK 29-23-00-860-001).
(8) Put a CONTAINER 5 L (1.32 USGAL) below the HP manifold of the Yellow hydraulic system to collect hydraulic fluid.

A. Removal of the HP Manifold
(2) Put the CAP-BLANKING on each disconnected electrical connector and receptacle.
(3) Loosen the pipe end-fitting (47) and disconnect the pipe (46) from the union (48).
(4) Loosen the pipe end-fitting (45) and disconnect the other end of the pipe (46) from the tee connector (44). Remove the pipe (46).
(5) Loosen the pipe end-fitting (30) and disconnect the pipe (29) from the union (31).
(6) Loosen the pipe end-fitting (23) and disconnect the pipe (22) from the check valve 3022GM.
(7) Loosen the pipe end-fitting (26) and disconnect the pipe (25) from the union (27).
(8) Loosen the pipe end-fitting (2) and disconnect the tee connector (1) from the union (3).
(9) Hold the manifold (17) and remove the five bolts (19) and the washers (20). Collect the five distance pieces (21) from between the manifold (17) and the structure.
(10) Remove the manifold (17).
(11) Put a PLUG - BLANKING on the disconnected line ends and the manifold ports.
CAUTION:
USE A SECOND WRENCH TO APPLY COUNTERTORQUE TO THE UNION WHEN YOU DISCONNECT/CONNECT HYDRAULIC LINES ON UNIONS. IF YOU DO NOT USE THE SECOND WRENCH, THERE IS A RISK THAT YOU WILL LOOSEN OR TIGHTEN THE UNION TOO MUCH.
(1) Disconnect the electrical connectors (5), (41), (42) and (43). (2) Put the CAP-BLANKING on each disconnected electrical connector and receptacle.
(3) Loosen the pipe end-fitting (47) and disconnect the pipe (46) from the union (48).
(4) Loosen the pipe end-fitting (45) and disconnect the other end of the pipe (46) from the tee connector (44). Remove the pipe (46).
(5) Loosen the pipe end-fitting (30) and disconnect the pipe (29) from the union (31).
(6) Loosen the pipe end-fitting (23) and disconnect the pipe (22) from the check valve 3022GM.
(7) Loosen the pipe end-fitting (26) and disconnect the pipe (25) from the union (27).
(8) Loosen the pipe end-fitting (2) and disconnect the tee connector (1) from the union (3).
(9) Hold the manifold (17) and remove the five bolts (19) and the washers (20). Collect the five distance pieces (21) from between the manifold (17) and the structure.
(10) Remove the manifold (17).
(11) Put a PLUG - BLANKING on the disconnected line ends and the manifold ports.
