Removal of the Solenoid Valve of Engine Pump
WARNING:
OBEY THE HYDRAULIC SAFETY PROCEDURES.
WARNING:
DO NOT TOUCH THE HYDRAULIC SYSTEM COMPONENTS FOR A SHORT TIME AFTER THE ENGINE IS SHUTDOWN. THE ENGINE COMPONENTS STAY HOT FOR SOME TIME AND CAN CAUSE INJURY.
CAUTION:
DO NOT LET HYDRAULIC FLUID FALL ON THE ENGINE. UNWANTED HYDRAULIC FLUID MUST BE REMOVED IMMEDIATELY WITH A CLEAN LINT FREE CLOTH. THE FLUID CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE SURFACE PROTECTION AND TO SOME PARTS.

A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure that the Green hydraulic system is depressurized
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-864-001)
(2) Depressurize the reservoir of the Green hydraulic system
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-001)

B. Safety Precautions
(1) On AIR COND panel 30VU:
(a) On the ground service panel, put WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to pressurize the Green hydraulic system.
(3) On the HYD section of panel 40VU:
(a) Put WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to pressurize the Green hydraulic system.
(4) Open access door 195BB.
(a) Put WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to pressurize the reservoir of the Green hydraulic system.
(5) On the center pedestal, on ENG panel 115VU:
Subtask 29-11-51-865-090-A (1) On AIR COND panel 30VU:
- Make sure that the APU BLEED pushbutton switch is released (ON legend off).
- Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to operate the APU BLEED pushbutton switch.
(a) On the ground service panel, put WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to pressurize the Green hydraulic system.
(3) On the HYD section of panel 40VU:
(a) Put WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to pressurize the Green hydraulic system.
(4) Open access door 195BB.
(a) Put WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to pressurize the reservoir of the Green hydraulic system.
(5) On the center pedestal, on ENG panel 115VU:
- Make sure that the ENG/MODE selector switch is in the NORM position.
- Make sure that the ENG/MASTER 1(2) control switch was in the OFF position not less than five minutes before you do this procedure.
- Put WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to operate the ENG/MODE selector switch and the ENG/MASTER 1(2) control switch.
- Make sure that the ON legend of the FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
- Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to energize FADEC 1(2).

D. Get Access
(1) Open the fan cowl doors (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-803):
(a) FOR [4020KM1] (POWER PLANT-DEMOUNTABLE, ENGINE 1)

(2) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE in position at the engine.
4. Procedure(1) Open the fan cowl doors (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-803):
(a) FOR [4020KM1] (POWER PLANT-DEMOUNTABLE, ENGINE 1)

(2) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE in position at the engine.

A. Removal of the Solenoid Valve of Engine Pumps P/N 3031863-001 and P/N 3031863-002
(1) Disconnection of the electrical connector
(b) Put a CAP - BLANKING on the disconnected electrical connector (2) and the electrical receptacle.
(c) Safety the electrical connector (2).
(2) Clean the component interface and/or the adjacent area to make sure that no contamination goes into the bore.
(3) Put a CONTAINER 5 L (1.32 USGAL) below the solenoid valve (4) to collect the remaining fluid.
(4) Remove the bolts (3).
(5) Removal of the solenoid valve (4)
(6) Put a COVER - BLANKING, HYDRAULIC RESISTANT on the open port of the engine pump (1).
(7) Make sure that the packings and the backup rings are on the removed solenoid valve (4):
(1) Disconnection of the electrical connector
CAUTION:
DO NOT TWIST OR BEND THE ELECTRICAL HARNESS WHEN YOU DISCONNECT/CONNECT THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR. IF YOU DO, YOU CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE HARNESS AND THUS CAUSE ELECTRICAL CIRCUIT DEFECTS.
(a) Disconnect the electrical connector (2) from the solenoid valve (4). (b) Put a CAP - BLANKING on the disconnected electrical connector (2) and the electrical receptacle.
(c) Safety the electrical connector (2).
(2) Clean the component interface and/or the adjacent area to make sure that no contamination goes into the bore.
(3) Put a CONTAINER 5 L (1.32 USGAL) below the solenoid valve (4) to collect the remaining fluid.
(4) Remove the bolts (3).
(5) Removal of the solenoid valve (4)
CAUTION:
MAKE SURE THAT THERE ARE NO LIQUIDS, DUST OR CONTAMINANTS ON THE MOUNTING SURFACE. IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THIS INSTRUCTION, DAMAGE TO THE EQUIPMENT CAN OCCUR.
(a) Hold the solenoid valve (4) in the vertical position to the mounting surface and pull it out from the engine pump (1). (6) Put a COVER - BLANKING, HYDRAULIC RESISTANT on the open port of the engine pump (1).
(7) Make sure that the packings and the backup rings are on the removed solenoid valve (4):
- If not, replace the engine pump (Ref. AMM TASK 29-11-51-000-808) and (Ref. AMM TASK 29-11-51-400-808).
