Removal of the Engine 1 Pump Suction Quick-Disconnect Half-Coupling
WARNING:
OBEY THE HYDRAULIC SAFETY PROCEDURES.
WARNING:
DO NOT TOUCH THE HYDRAULIC SYSTEM COMPONENTS FOR A SHORT TIME AFTER THE ENGINE IS SHUTDOWN. THE ENGINE COMPONENTS STAY HOT FOR SOME TIME AND CAN CAUSE INJURY.
CAUTION:
DO NOT LET HYDRAULIC FLUID FALL ON THE ENGINE. UNWANTED HYDRAULIC FLUID MUST BE REMOVED IMMEDIATELY WITH A CLEAN LINT FREE CLOTH. THE FLUID CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE SURFACE PROTECTION AND TO SOME PARTS.

A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure that the hydraulic systems are depressurized and put them in the maintenance configuration (Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-864-001).
(2) Depressurize the related hydraulic reservoir (Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-001).
Subtask 29-11-39-010-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Make sure that the hydraulic systems are depressurized and put them in the maintenance configuration (Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-864-001).
(2) Depressurize the related hydraulic reservoir (Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-001).
B. Get Access
(1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 1M (3 FT)-ADJUSTABLE in position at the engine.
(2) Open the left fan-cowl door 437AL (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-040).

C. Safety Precautions
(1) Put WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to pressurize the hydraulic system:

4. Procedure(1) Put WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to pressurize the hydraulic system:
- In the cockpit, on the HYD section of panel 40VU
- On the ground service panel of the Green hydraulic system, access door 197CB
- On access door 195BB of the Green hydraulic reservoir.
- Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to start the engine 1(2).
(4) On maintenance panel 50VU:
- Make sure that the ON legend of the related ENG FADEC GND PWR pushbutton switch is off.
- Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to supply power to the FADEC system.
- Make sure that the related ENG MASTER 1(2) switch is in the OFF position.

A. Removal of the Engine 1 Pump Suction Quick-Disconnect Half Coupling
(1) Disconnect the hose coupling half (5) from the panel.
(2) Hold the suction hose up and remove the coupling half (5). This prevents a flow of hydraulic fluid.
(3) Put COVER - BLANKING on the fluid disconnect panel and on the suction hose.
