Removal of the Engine 1 Thrust Reverser Check Valve
WARNING:
OBEY THE HYDRAULIC SAFETY PROCEDURES.
WARNING:
DO NOT TOUCH THE HYDRAULIC SYSTEM COMPONENTS FOR A SHORT TIME AFTER THE ENGINE IS SHUTDOWN. THE ENGINE COMPONENTS STAY HOT FOR SOME TIME AND CAN CAUSE INJURY.
CAUTION:
DO NOT LET HYDRAULIC FLUID FALL ON THE ENGINE. UNWANTED HYDRAULIC FLUID MUST BE REMOVED IMMEDIATELY WITH A CLEAN LINT FREE CLOTH. THE FLUID CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE SURFACE PROTECTION AND TO SOME PARTS.

A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Depressurize the Green hydraulic system (Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-864-001).
(2) Depressurize the Green hydraulic reservoir (Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-001).
(3) Put WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to pressurize the Green hydraulic system:

(2) Depressurize the Green hydraulic reservoir (Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-001).
(3) Put WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to pressurize the Green hydraulic system:
- on the ground service panel 197CB.
C. Safety Precautions
(1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU:
(3) Put WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to pressurize the Green hydraulic system:
(6) Put a CONTAINER 5 L (1.32 USGAL) below the connection between the pressure hose (2) and the fluid disconnect panel to collect the remaining fluid.
Subtask 29-11-35-010-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU:
- put WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to start the engine.
(3) Put WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to pressurize the Green hydraulic system:
- in the cockpit, on the HYD section of the overhead panel 40VU,
- make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
(6) Put a CONTAINER 5 L (1.32 USGAL) below the connection between the pressure hose (2) and the fluid disconnect panel to collect the remaining fluid.
D. Get Access
(1) Open the left fan-cowl door 437AL (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-040).
(2) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE in position.
4. Procedure(1) Open the left fan-cowl door 437AL (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-040).
(2) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE in position.
Subtask 29-11-35-020-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Removal of the Green Engine 1 Thrust Reverser Check Valve
(2) Disconnect the pipe (4) from the check valve (3).
(3) Remove the check valve (3) with the O-ring (2) from the panel (1).
(4) Put PLUG - BLANKING on the pipe (4) and the panel (1).
(5) Discard the O-ring (2) from the check valve (3).
CAUTION:
USE TWO WRENCHES TO REMOVE OR INSTALL THE TUBE COUPLING NUTS:
- ONE WRENCH TO HOLD THE UNION, AND
- ONE TO LOOSEN OR TIGHTEN THE COUPLING NUT.
CAUTION:
BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU REMOVE THE CHECK VALVE AS THE HYDRAULIC FLUID WILL FLOW OUT.
(1) Put a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) below the connection between the pipe (4) and the check valve (3). (2) Disconnect the pipe (4) from the check valve (3).
(3) Remove the check valve (3) with the O-ring (2) from the panel (1).
(4) Put PLUG - BLANKING on the pipe (4) and the panel (1).
(5) Discard the O-ring (2) from the check valve (3).
Thrust Reverser - Check Valve
