Removal of the HP Manifold of the Green Hydraulic System
WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE GROUND SAFETY-LOCKS ARE IN POSITION ON THE LANDING GEAR. THIS WILL PREVENT UNWANTED MOVEMENT OF THE LANDING GEAR, AND THUS POSSIBLE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT AND/OR EQUIPMENT.

B. Get Access
(1) Open the access door 197CB.
(2) Open the LH main door of the main gear (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-010-001).

C. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(2) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to pressurize the Green hydraulic system:
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-864-001).
(4) Depressurize the reservoir of the Green hydraulic system (Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-001).
(5) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position.
(6) Put a CONTAINER 4 L (1 USGAL) below the HP manifold of the Green hydraulic system to collect hydraulic fluid.
(7) Disconnect the isolation coupling of the Power Transfer Unit (PTU) (Ref. AMM TASK 29-23-00-860-001).
4. ProcedureWARNING:
OBEY THE HYDRAULIC SAFETY PROCEDURES.
(1) Obey the hydraulic safety procedures (Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-910-002). (2) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to pressurize the Green hydraulic system:
- In the cockpit on the hydraulic section 40VU of the overhead panel
- On the ground service panel of the Green hydraulic system.
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-864-001).
(4) Depressurize the reservoir of the Green hydraulic system (Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-001).
(5) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position.
(6) Put a CONTAINER 4 L (1 USGAL) below the HP manifold of the Green hydraulic system to collect hydraulic fluid.
(7) Disconnect the isolation coupling of the Power Transfer Unit (PTU) (Ref. AMM TASK 29-23-00-860-001).
Subtask 29-11-14-020-051-C
A. Removal of the Manifold
(2) Put the CAP-BLANKING on each disconnected electrical connector and receptacle.
(4) Remove the nut (50) and the bolt (48) and disconnect the P-clip (49) from the structure attachment.
(5) Loosen the pipe end-fitting (52) and disconnect the pipe (51) from the union (53).
(6) Loosen the pipe end-fitting (47) and remove the pipe (51) from the aircraft.
(7) Loosen the pipe end-fitting (21) and disconnect the pipe (20) from the union (22).
(8) Loosen the pipe end-fitting (18) and disconnect the pipe (17) from the check valve 1022GM.
(9) Loosen the pipe end-fitting (25) and disconnect the pipe (24) from the union (26).
(10) Loosen the pipe end-fitting (2) and disconnect the pipe (1) from the union (3).
(11) Hold the manifold (13) and remove the five bolts (15) and the five washers (16).
(12) Remove the manifold (13).
(13) Put a PLUG - BLANKING on the disconnected line ends and the manifold ports.
CAUTION:
USE A SECOND WRENCH TO APPLY COUNTERTORQUE TO THE UNION WHEN YOU DISCONNECT/CONNECT HYDRAULIC LINES ON UNIONS. IF YOU DO NOT USE THE SECOND WRENCH, THERE IS A RISK THAT YOU WILL LOOSEN OR TIGHTEN THE UNION TOO MUCH.
(1) Disconnect the electrical connectors (5), (36), (45) and (46). (2) Put the CAP-BLANKING on each disconnected electrical connector and receptacle.
CAUTION:
MAKE SURE THAT THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR(S) IS(ARE) DISCONNECTED BEFORE YOU DISCONNECT THE BONDING STRAP(S).
(3) Remove the nut (40), the bolt (37) and the washer (38) and disconnect the bonding strap (39). (4) Remove the nut (50) and the bolt (48) and disconnect the P-clip (49) from the structure attachment.
(5) Loosen the pipe end-fitting (52) and disconnect the pipe (51) from the union (53).
(6) Loosen the pipe end-fitting (47) and remove the pipe (51) from the aircraft.
(7) Loosen the pipe end-fitting (21) and disconnect the pipe (20) from the union (22).
(8) Loosen the pipe end-fitting (18) and disconnect the pipe (17) from the check valve 1022GM.
(9) Loosen the pipe end-fitting (25) and disconnect the pipe (24) from the union (26).
(10) Loosen the pipe end-fitting (2) and disconnect the pipe (1) from the union (3).
(11) Hold the manifold (13) and remove the five bolts (15) and the five washers (16).
(12) Remove the manifold (13).
(13) Put a PLUG - BLANKING on the disconnected line ends and the manifold ports.
