A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure that the ground service network is energized

B. Get Access
(1) Make sure that the access door 811 is open.
(2) Make sure that the aft cargo-compartment door 826 is open (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001).
(3) Make sure that the CARGO COMPT LIGHT switch 8LU is in the ON position.
(4) Make sure that the partition panel 161DW is removed (Ref. AMM TASK 25-55-12-000-001).
Subtask 26-23-21-865-054-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Make sure that the access door 811 is open.
(2) Make sure that the aft cargo-compartment door 826 is open (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001).
(3) Make sure that the CARGO COMPT LIGHT switch 8LU is in the ON position.
(4) Make sure that the partition panel 161DW is removed (Ref. AMM TASK 25-55-12-000-001).

A. Installation of the Check Valve
(2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(3) Remove the blanking plugs from the disconnected line ends.
(4) Remove the blanking plugs from the check valve (3).
(5) Apply grease:
(6) Put the check valve (3) in its installation position.
(7) Connect the pipe (1) to the check valve (3).
(8) TORQUE the nut (2) to between 1.7 and 1.5 m.daN (12.54 and 11.06 lbf.ft )

(9) Connect the pipe (5) to the check valve (3).
(10) TORQUE the nut (4) to between 1.3 and 1.2 m.daN (115.04 and 106.19 lbf.in )

Subtask 26-23-21-210-052-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL NOTE: The installation procedure is the same for the check valves 5046WM and 5047WM.
(1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.(2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(3) Remove the blanking plugs from the disconnected line ends.
(4) Remove the blanking plugs from the check valve (3).
(5) Apply grease:
CAUTION:
APPLY A SMALL QUANTITY OF THE CORRECT GREASE TO THE MALE THREADS OF THE CONNECTIONS. THIS WILL PREVENT DAMAGE TO THE THREADS.
MAKE SURE THAT GREASE DOES NOT GO INTO THE PIPES. GREASE IN THE PIPES CAN CAUSE A MALFUNCTION OF THE SYSTEM.
(a) Apply a small quantity of Mineral Oil base Grease-- Vaseline or Petrolatum - (Material No.03FAB1) to the male threads of the check valve (3). (6) Put the check valve (3) in its installation position.
(7) Connect the pipe (1) to the check valve (3).
(8) TORQUE the nut (2) to between 1.7 and 1.5 m.daN (12.54 and 11.06 lbf.ft )
. (9) Connect the pipe (5) to the check valve (3).
(10) TORQUE the nut (4) to between 1.3 and 1.2 m.daN (115.04 and 106.19 lbf.in )
. B. Functional check
(1) Do a check of the pressure reducer in the flow metering device and check of the cargo-compartment fire-extinguishing distribution-piping for leakage and blockages (Ref. AMM TASK 26-23-00-200-003).

B. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Install the partition panel 161DW (Ref. AMM TASK 25-55-12-400-001).
(3) Set the CARGO COMPT LIGHT switch 8LU to the OFF position.
(4) Close the aft cargo-compartment door 826 (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-002).
(5) Close the access door 811 (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-00-410-002).
Subtask 26-23-21-862-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Install the partition panel 161DW (Ref. AMM TASK 25-55-12-400-001).
(3) Set the CARGO COMPT LIGHT switch 8LU to the OFF position.
(4) Close the aft cargo-compartment door 826 (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-002).
(5) Close the access door 811 (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-00-410-002).
C. Put the aircraft back to its initial configuration.
