A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).

C. Get Access
(1) For the location of this component refer to (Ref. AMM D/O 26-17-00-00).
(2) Get access to the related lavatory.
(3) Get access to the smoke detector (5):
(a) Put the SCREWDRIVER - SMALL into the access hole (10) and open the air-extraction panel (9).
(b) Push the hooks (6) and remove the grille (8) and the air-extraction filter (7) from the air-extraction panel (9).
4. Procedure(1) For the location of this component refer to (Ref. AMM D/O 26-17-00-00).
(2) Get access to the related lavatory.
(3) Get access to the smoke detector (5):
(a) Put the SCREWDRIVER - SMALL into the access hole (10) and open the air-extraction panel (9).
(b) Push the hooks (6) and remove the grille (8) and the air-extraction filter (7) from the air-extraction panel (9).

A. Removal of the Smoke Detector
(2) Put the CAP-BLANKING on each disconnected electrical connector and receptacle.
(3) Remove the screws (3) and the washers (4).
(4) Remove the smoke detector (5) from the air-extraction panel (9).
NOTE: The procedure to remove all the smoke detectors is the same. Thus, the procedure to remove only one smoke detector is given here.
(1) Disconnect the electrical connector (2) from the smoke detector (5). (2) Put the CAP-BLANKING on each disconnected electrical connector and receptacle.
(3) Remove the screws (3) and the washers (4).
(4) Remove the smoke detector (5) from the air-extraction panel (9).
