C. Get Access
(1) Get access to the lavatory A.
(2) Get access to the smoke detector 1WQ:
(a) Remove the screws (11) and the air-extraction grille (10).
(b) Remove the air filter (12) and the grille (13) from the air-extraction hood (8).
4. Procedure(1) Get access to the lavatory A.
(2) Get access to the smoke detector 1WQ:
(a) Remove the screws (11) and the air-extraction grille (10).
(b) Remove the air filter (12) and the grille (13) from the air-extraction hood (8).
Subtask 26-17-15-020-050-E ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Removal of the Lavatory Smoke Detector
(1) Remove the screws (7) and carefully lower the air-extraction hood (8) together with the smoke detector (5).
(2) Disconnect the electrical connector 1WQ-A (4) from the smoke detector (5).
(3) Put the CAP-BLANKING on each disconnected electrical connector and receptacle.
(4) Remove the nuts (2), the washers (3) (if applicable) and the screws (9).
(5) Carefully remove the smoke detector (5) from the air-extraction hood (8).
(6) Remove the packing (6).
Subtask 26-17-15-020-050-H ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Remove the screws (7) and carefully lower the air-extraction hood (8) together with the smoke detector (5).
(2) Disconnect the electrical connector 1WQ-A (4) from the smoke detector (5).
(3) Put the CAP-BLANKING on each disconnected electrical connector and receptacle.
(4) Remove the nuts (2), the washers (3) (if applicable) and the screws (9).
(5) Carefully remove the smoke detector (5) from the air-extraction hood (8).
(6) Remove the packing (6).
A. Removal of the Smoke Detector
(2) Disconnect the electrical connector 1WQ-A (4) from the smoke detector (5).
(3) Put the CAP-BLANKING on each disconnected electrical connector and receptacle.
(4) Remove the nuts (2), the washers (3) (if applicable) and the screws (9).
(5) Carefully remove the smoke detector (5) with the packing (6) from the air-extraction hood (8).
WARNING:
DO NOT OPEN OR REPAIR THE SMOKE DETECTOR.
IF THE SMOKE DETECTOR IS DAMAGED, PUT ON RUBBER GLOVES BEFORE YOU TOUCH IT.
THE SMOKE DETECTOR CONTAINS RADIOACTIVE MATERIAL WHICH IS DANGEROUS.
THUS ONLY WORKSHOPS APPROVED BY THE MANUFACTURER OF THE SMOKE DETECTOR ARE PERMITTED TO DO WORK ON IT.
WHEN YOU DISCARD IT, OBEY THE INSTRUCTIONS OF THE SMOKE DETECTOR MANUFACTURER. ALSO OBEY LOCAL REGULATIONS FOR RADIOACTIVE MATERIALS.
(1) Remove the screws (7) and lower the air-extraction hood (8) together with the smoke detector (5). (2) Disconnect the electrical connector 1WQ-A (4) from the smoke detector (5).
(3) Put the CAP-BLANKING on each disconnected electrical connector and receptacle.
(4) Remove the nuts (2), the washers (3) (if applicable) and the screws (9).
(5) Carefully remove the smoke detector (5) with the packing (6) from the air-extraction hood (8).
