   (1) Do the deactivation of the thrust reverser system for ground maintenance (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-040-805).

   (2) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE in position.
4. Procedure
CAUTION: INSTALL PROTECTION COVERS ON ALL THE OPENINGS IMMEDIATELY TO PREVENT DAMAGE TO THE ENGINE.
CAUTION: REMOVE THE PROTECTION COVERS FROM THE OPENINGS AS NECESSARY TO PREVENT ENGINE DAMAGE.
CAUTION: WIPE CLEAN ALL PARTS AND TOOLS AS NECESSARY TO REMOVE UNWANTED DEBRIS AND PREVENT DAMAGE TO THE ENGINE.
CAUTION: DO NOT USE ELECTRICAL OR PNEUMATIC TOOLS TO LOOSEN OR TIGHTEN THE QUARTER-TURN FASTENER ON THE FIRE DETECTOR CLAMP. ONLY USE A MANUAL SCREWDRIVER. ELECTRICAL OR PNEUMATIC TOOLS WILL CAUSE THE FASTENER TO TURN TOO MUCH AND POSSIBLY TO BREAK.

A. Removal of the Loop-A Fire Electrical Harness
F Loop-A Fire Electrical Harness ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
CAUTION: MAKE SURE THAT THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR IS CLEAN BEFORE YOU DISCONNECT/CONNECT IT. CONTAMINATION OF THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR CAN CAUSE INCORRECT FIRE DETECTION.
CAUTION: USE TEFLON-JAWED PLIERS TO LOOSEN/TIGHTEN ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS. DO NOT USE METAL-JAWED PLIERS. IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THIS INSTRUCTION, DAMAGE TO THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS CAN OCCUR.
   (1) Disconnection of the electrical connector:
     (a) With PLIERS - JAWED, SOFT, disconnect the loop-A fire harness (1) connector (452VC-A) from the pylon interface.
     (b) Put CAP - PROTECTION on the loop-A harness (1) connector and the pylon interface.
   (2) Remove the bolt (2) and the washer (3) that attach the clamp (4) and the loop-A fire harness (1) to the PW AOC bracket.
   (3) Remove the clamp (4) from the loop-A fire harness (1).
   (4) Remove the bolt (8), two washers (6) and the nut (5) that attach the clamp (7) and the loop-A fire harness (1) to the IDG-EDP-MON harness and clamp. Remove the clamp (7) from the loop-A fire harness (1).
NOTE: Do not remove the clamp from the IDG-EDP-MON harness.
   (5) Install the bolt (8), two washers (6) and the nut (5) back to the IDG-EDP-MON harness and clamp.
   (6) Tighten the nut (5) with your finger.
   (7) Remove the two bolts (11) and two washers (10) that attach the two clamps (9) and the loop-A fire harness (1) to the fire electrical bracket.
   (8) Remove the clamps (9) from the loop-A fire harness (1).
   (9) For PRE SB GRAA320NEO-A-71-51-0001-00001-930A-D, do the steps that follow:
     (a) Remove the bolt (12) that attaches the loop-A fire harness (1) STUD 8 lug (4036VC) to the loop-A electrical rail assembly aft fire detector cable (4036VC-A).
     (b) Remove the bolt (13) that attaches the loop-A fire harness (1) STUD 10 lug (4035VC) to the loop-A electrical rail assembly aft fire detector cable (4035VC-A).
   (10) For POST SB GRAA320NEO-A-71-51-0001-00001-930A-D, do the steps that follow:
     (a) Remove the bolt (18) and the washer (19) that attach the loop-A fire harness (1) STUD 8 lug (4036VC) to the loop-A electrical rail assembly aft fire detector cable (4036VC-A).
     (b) Remove the bolt (13) and the washer (19) that attach the loop-A fire harness (1) STUD 10 lug (4035VC) to the loop-A electrical rail assembly aft fire detector cable (4035VC-A).
   (11) Remove the bolt (14) and the washer (15) that attach the loop-A fire harness (1) terminal lug to the fire electrical bracket.
   (12) For PRE SB GRAA320NEO-A-71-51-0001-00001-930A-D, do the steps that follow:
     (a) Remove the bolt (12) that attaches the loop-A fire harness (1) STUD 8 lug (4034VC) to the loop-A electrical rail assembly forward fire detector cable (4034VC-A).
     (b) Remove the bolt (13) that attaches the loop-A fire harness (1) STUD 10 lug (4033VC) to the loop-A electrical rail assembly forward fire detector cable (4033VC-A).
   (13) For POST SB GRAA320NEO-A-71-51-0001-00001-930A-D, do the steps that follow:
     (a) Remove the bolt (18) and the washer (19) that attach the loop-A fire harness (1) STUD 8 lug (4034VC) to the loop-A electrical rail assembly forward fire detector cable (4034VC-A).
     (b) Remove the bolt (13) and the washer (19) that attach the loop-A fire harness (1) STUD 10 lug (4033VC) to the loop-A electrical rail assembly forward fire detector cable (4033VC-A).
   (14) Remove the bolt (16) and the washer (17) that attach the loop-A fire harness (1) terminal lug to the fire electrical bracket.
   (15) Remove the loop-A fire harness (1) from the engine.

B. Removal of the Loop-A Fire Detector Cables
F Loop-A Fire Detector Cables ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
   (1) Remove the channel A common aft fire detector cable (1) as follows:
WARNING: USE GOGGLES AND GLOVES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL LOCKWIRE. EACH TIME YOU CUT LOCKWIRE, REMOVE AND DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. LOOSE LOCKWIRE CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND, AND/OR CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.
     (a) Cut the lockwire on the nut (6) on the channel A common aft fire detector cable (1)
     (b) Remove the nut (6) and the washer (5) that attach the channel A common aft fire detector cable (1) to the fire support bracket.
     (c) Remove the nut (7) on the terminal ”C” of the aft fire/overheat detector element.
     (d) Disconnect the channel A common aft fire detector cable (1) STUD C lug (4001WD1-C) from the aft fire/over-heat detector element.
     (e) Put the nut (7) on the terminal ”C” of the aft fire/overheat detector element to install it again during installation. Do not tighten the nut (7).
     (f) Open the hinged clamp on the fire bracket for the channel A common aft fire detector cable (1) near STUD C lug (4001WD1–C). See View N. Remove the channel A common aft fire detector cable (1) from the hinged clamp.
NOTE: To open the hinged clamps, the dual-hinged clamps and the dual mounting clamps, turn the screws one-quarter turn counterclockwise.
     (g) Open the hinged clamp on the forward side of the loop-A electrical rail assembly. See View L.
     (h) Remove the channel A common aft fire detector cable (1) from the hinged clamp.
     (i) Open the two bottom dual mounting clamps on the loop-A electrical rail assembly. See Views J and K.
     (j) Remove the channel A common aft fire detector cable (1) from the dual mounting clamps.
     (k) Open the dual-hinged clamp on the right side of the fire electrical bracket. See View H.
     (l) Remove the channel A common aft fire detector cable (1) from the dual-hinged clamp.
     (m) Open the dual-hinged clamp on the fire support bracket. See View B.
     (n) Remove the channel A common aft fire detector cable (1) from the dual-hinged clamp.
     (o) Remove the channel A common aft fire detector cable (1) from the fire support bracket and the engine.
   (2) Remove the channel A alarm aft fire detector cable (2) as follows:
WARNING: USE GOGGLES AND GLOVES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL LOCKWIRE. EACH TIME YOU CUT LOCKWIRE, REMOVE AND DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. LOOSE LOCKWIRE CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND, AND/OR CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.
     (a) Cut the lockwire on the nut (6) on the channel A alarm aft fire detector cable (2).
     (b) Remove the nut (6) and the washer (5) that attach the channel A alarm aft fire detector cable (2) to the fire support bracket.
     (c) Remove the nut (8) on the terminal ”A” of the aft fire/overheat detector element.
     (d) Disconnect the channel A alarm aft fire detector cable (2) STUD A lug (4001WD1-A) from the aft fire/overheat detector element.
     (e) Put the nut (8) on the terminal ”A” of the aft fire/overheat detector element to install it again during installation. Do not tighten the nut (8).
     (f) Open the hinged clamp on the fire bracket for the channel A alarm aft fire detector cable (2) near STUD A lug (4001WD1–A). See View N. Remove the channel A alarm aft fire detector cable (2) from the hinged clamp.
NOTE: To open the hinged clamps, the dual-hinged clamps and the dual mounting clamps, turn the screws one-quarter turn counterclockwise.
     (g) Open the hinged clamp on the aft side of the loop-A electrical rail assembly. See View L.
     (h) Remove the channel A alarm aft fire detector cable (2) from the hinged clamp.
     (i) Open the two dual mounting clamps on the bottom of the loop-A electrical rail assembly. See Views J and K.
     (j) Remove the channel A alarm aft fire detector cable (2) from the dual mounting clamps.
     (k) Open the dual-hinged clamp on the left side of the fire electrical bracket. See View H.
     (l) Remove the channel A alarm aft fire detector cable (2) from the dual-hinged clamp.
     (m) Open the top dual-hinged clamp on the fire support bracket. See View B.
     (n) Remove the channel A alarm aft fire detector cable (2) from the dual-hinged clamp.
     (o) Remove the channel A alarm aft fire detector cable (2) from the fire support bracket and the engine.
   (3) Remove the channel A common forward fire detector cable (3) as follows:
WARNING: USE GOGGLES AND GLOVES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL LOCKWIRE. EACH TIME YOU CUT LOCKWIRE, REMOVE AND DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. LOOSE LOCKWIRE CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND, AND/OR CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.
     (a) Cut the lockwire on the nut (6) on the channel A common forward fire detector cable (3).
     (b) Remove the nut (6) and the washer (5) that attach the channel A common forward fire detector cable (3) to the fire support bracket.
     (c) Remove the nut (10) on the terminal ”C” of the forward fire/overheat detector element.
     (d) Disconnect the channel A common forward fire detector cable (3) STUD C lug (4002WD1-C) from the forward fire/overheat detector element.
     (e) Put the nut (10) on the terminal ”C” of the forward fire/overheat detector element to install it again during installation. Do not tighten the nut (10).
     (f) Open the hinged clamp on the fire bracket for the channel A common forward fire detector cable (3) near STUD C lug (4002WD1–C). See View U. Remove the channel A common forward fire detector cable (3) from the hinged clamp.
NOTE: To open the hinged clamps, the dual-hinged clamps and the dual mounting clamps, turn the screws one-quarter turn counterclockwise.
     (g) Open the two dual mounting clamps on the loop-A electrical rail assembly near the aft fire/over-heat detector element. See View M.
     (h) Remove the channel A common forward fire detector cable (3) from the dual mounting clamps.
     (i) Open the hinged clamp on the top of the loop-A electrical rail assembly. See View T.
     (j) Remove the channel A common forward fire detector cable (3) from the hinged clamp.
     (k) Open the hinged clamp on the forward side of the loop-A electrical rail assembly. See View S.
     (l) Remove the channel A common forward fire detector cable (3) from the hinged clamp.
     (m) Open the two dual mounting clamps on the outboard side of the loop-A electrical rail assembly. See View M.
     (n) Remove the channel A common forward fire detector cable (3) from the dual mounting clamps.
     (o) Open the two hinged clamps on the forward side of the loop-A electrical rail assembly. See Views Q and R.
     (p) Remove the channel A common forward fire detector cable (3) from the hinged clamps.
     (q) Open the three dual mounting clamps on the top of the loop-A electrical rail assembly. See View M.
     (r) Remove the channel A common forward fire detector cable (3) from the dual mounting clamps.
     (s) Open the three top dual mounting clamps on the loop-A electrical rail assembly. See Views J, K and L.
     (t) Remove the channel A common forward fire detector cable (3) from the dual mounting clamps.
     (u) Open the dual-hinged clamp on the right side of the fire electrical bracket. See View H.
     (v) Remove the channel A common forward fire detector cable (3) from the dual-hinged clamp.
     (w) Open the bottom dual-hinged clamp on the fire support bracket. See View B.
     (x) Remove the channel A common forward fire detector cable (3) from the dual-hinged clamp.
     (y) Remove the channel A common forward fire detector cable (3) from the fire support bracket and the engine.
   (4) Remove the channel A alarm forward fire detector cable (4) as follows:
WARNING: USE GOGGLES AND GLOVES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL LOCKWIRE. EACH TIME YOU CUT LOCKWIRE, REMOVE AND DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. LOOSE LOCKWIRE CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND, AND/OR CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.
     (a) Cut the lockwire on the nut (6) on the channel A alarm forward fire detector cable (4).
     (b) Remove the nut (6) and washer (5) that attach the channel A alarm forward fire detector cable (4) to the fire support bracket.
     (c) Remove the nut (9) on the terminal ”A” of the forward fire/overheat detector element.
     (d) Disconnect the channel A alarm forward fire detector cable (4) STUD A lug (4002WD1-A) from forward aft fire/overheat detector element.
     (e) Put the nut (9) on the terminal ”A” of the forward fire/overheat detector element to install it again during installation. Do not tighten the nut (9).
     (f) Open the hinged clamp on the fire bracket for the channel A alarm forward fire detector cable (4) near STUD A lug (4002WD1–A). See View U. Remove the channel A alarm forward fire detector cable (4) from the hinged clamp.
NOTE: To open the hinged clamps, the dual-hinged clamps and the dual mounting clamps, turn the screws one-quarter turn counterclockwise.
     (g) Open the two dual mounting clamps on the loop-A electrical rail assembly near the forward fire/overheat detector element. See View M.
     (h) Remove the channel A alarm forward fire detector cable (4) from the dual mounting clamps.
     (i) Open the hinged clamp on the bottom of the loop-A electrical rail assembly. See View T.
     (j) Remove the channel A alarm forward fire detector cable (4) from the hinged clamp.
     (k) Open the hinged clamp on the aft side of the loop-A electrical rail assembly. See View S.
     (l) Remove the channel A alarm forward fire detector cable (4) from the hinged clamp.
     (m) Open the two dual mounting clamps on the outboard side of the loop-A electrical rail assembly. See View M.
     (n) Remove the channel A alarm forward fire detector cable (4) from the dual mounting clamps.
     (o) Open the hinged clamp on the aft side of the loop-A electrical rail assembly. See View R.
     (p) Remove the channel A alarm forward fire detector cable (4) from the hinged clamp.
     (q) Open the three dual mounting clamps on the top of the loop-A electrical rail assembly. See View M.
     (r) Remove the channel A alarm forward fire detector cable (4) from the dual mounting clamps.
     (s) Open the three top dual mounting clamps on the loop-A electrical rail assembly. See Views J, K and L.
     (t) Remove the channel A alarm forward fire detector cable (4) from the dual mounting clamps.
     (u) Open the top of the dual-hinged clamp on the right side of the fire electrical bracket. See View H.
     (v) Remove the channel A alarm forward fire detector cable (4) from the dual- hinged clamp.
     (w) Open the bottom dual-hinged clamp on the fire support bracket. See View B.
     (x) Remove the channel A alarm forward fire detector cable (4) from the dual-hinged clamp.
     (y) Remove the channel A alarm forward fire detector cable (4) from the fire support bracket and the engine.
