3. Job Set-up

A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Make sure that the ground service network is energized
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-861-001).
   (2) Make sure that the aft cargo-compartment door is opened (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001).
   (3) Make sure that the light switch is set to the ON position.
   (4) Make sure that sidewall panel 152HW is removed (Ref. AMM TASK 25-55-11-000-003).
4. Procedure
Subtask 25-65-36-420-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Installation of the Underwater Locator Beacon
F Underwater Locator Beacon ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
   (1) Put the underwater locator beacon (1) in position and install the washers (3) and the screws (2).
   (2) Make sure that the sensors (4) point to the forward direction.
   (3) Make sure that the sensors (4) and the insulation around them are clean and free of grease and dirt.
If necessary, clean the sensors (4) with Non Aqueous Cleaner-- Isopropyl Alcohol - (Material No.08BBD1) .
   (4) Install the washer (5) and the screw (6) (Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-802).
   (5) Tighten the screws (6) and (2).

B. Operational Test
   (1) Do the operational test of the underwater locator beacon (Ref. AMM TASK 25-65-00-710-802).

A. Close Access
   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (2) Install sidewall panel 152HW (Ref. AMM TASK 25-55-11-400-003).
   (3) Set the light switch to off.
   (4) Close the aft cargo-compartment door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-002).

B. De-energize the ground service network
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-862-001).
